Hello,
Your son have to appear for jee mains and jee advanced after class 12th board exam and try to score more than 70% of total marks in jee advanced to get admission in top IITs in aeronautical engineering branch.Your son can appear for jee advanced only if he crosses jee mains cutoff. It's cutoff varies every year but tell him to score 150+ out of 360 marks in jee mains. This will help him in getting some good private colleges.
If your son wants admission in aerospace engineering branch, then SRM UNIVERSITY can be the good choice too.For this he have to appear for an entrance exam called SRMJEEE. Other good options are MANIPAL INSTITUTE,UPES,P.E.C COLLEGE....
First let him clear his 10th and 12th with good marks i.e more than 75%...
You can get to know all details regarding exams and cutoff on our careers 360 website.
Good luck.

Want to know about the genetic engineering course

Nishita Jain 25th May, 2018
A genetic engineer starts by earning a bachelor's degree, typically in a branch of the physical sciences, such as biology or chemistry. Some schools offer undergraduate programs in genetic engineering or in closely-related fields such as biological engineering.

As agenetic engineer, you'll alter genes in order to improve the biological capabilities of humans, plants and animals. In this field, your main goal is to help people lead quality lives. As a gene therapist, you'll treat human patients with genetic illnesses. Otherwise, you might work in a non-medical environment as a biochemist or biophysicist, exploring living organisms such as plants used as food crops. Your work will involve handling harmful organisms and toxins. You'll typically work full-time with a consistent schedule.

I am attempted only NEET exam and I have 81.38% in 12 th Maharashtra board can I eligible for genetic engineering or genetic biomedical eng

Hello Shruti,

  • For admission to the course, candidates are required to qualify a relevant national/ State/ university level engineering entrance examination followed by rounds of counseling and personal interview.

  • Some of the major national- level entrance examinations conducted in India for admission to the course are JEE MAIN, JEE ADVANCE, SRMJEEE, VIT EEE, BIT-SAT, JNU EEE, etc. Other universities- level entrance exams are conducted by SRM University, Vellore Institute of Technology, Birla Institute of Technology and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

For Elligibility to answer, you need a minimum aggregate of 60% in PCB subjects.

  • However, for Admissions you will have to check in the colleges you are interested and also answer an entrance for engineering. NEET does not provide admissions to this course.

I hope this was helpful. All the best!
