Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing great there. I regret to say this but chances of your admission in BA(geography) are a bit low . The cut off for BA(geography) in Ambedkar University is 84 percent . But yes you can definitely get a seat in BA(history) . The cut off for BA(history) in Ambedkar University is 82 percent.

I hope you got your answer

Dear Charul ,

First of all , congratulations for scoring such a good marks !! Wishing you a bright future ahead.

Well, coming to your query .. yes , you are eligible to get admission in various colleges based on your percentage in 12th . But , still you need to know the basic eligibility criteria to opt BA Hons in Geography .

  • Should score good in 12th (specially in humanities ) and qualify from  a recognized board
  • minimum percentage required for applying BA Geography hons is 45-55%

Well, some colleges also take Individual entrance exams to get admission in those institutes !

It would be better for me to help you more with the name of nearby colleges that offers geography, if you add in your query about your location .

Still, you can refer to this link to find good colleges that offers BA geography hons across India;

Sir, My subject combination is Mathematics, Biology, Computer Application and Geography (optional) can I read BSC Hons in Computer Science?

Vidya Kasi 9th Sep, 2021

Hi

Depends on the university. Though the general eligibility is Physics, chemistry and maths mandatory.  But in DU to study BSc (Hons) Computer Science, an applicant should have had Mathematics and Computer Science in their plus-two course. Though it is not necessary to add the subjects in the best-of-four calculation, scoring at least 60 per cent or more in Mathematics is mandatory. The university information bulletin states that selection for the course will be made on the basis of the best-of-four subjects that include one language, Mathematics and any two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Informatics Practices.

Students from other streams need to include one language, Mathematics, and two other academic subjects. But they will face a deduction of 2 per cent.

There might be some additional eligibility the institute might be asking so try enquiring about it.

Hope this helps.

Hi,I am Sourish Chattopadhyay, currently I am in class 11 (Humanities) in an ISC affiliated school. I want to persue my career in Economics but I dont have maths. Can you guys tell me that is it possible for me to study economics in future. My other subjects are History, Geography,Pol Sci and English

Moumoyee Chakraborty 28th Aug, 2021

Warm wishes for all the success you made till date. Though we must admit that Mathematics is an integral part of Economics but you still still pursue your studies in Economics without having Maths as a subject in 10+2. There are few organization which offer B.A degree in Economics even if you don't have maths. Some of them are

Symbiosis School of Economics

Indian School of Business and Finance

Amity University Noida

Manav Rachna International University etc.

So don't loose hope, go ahead and have a great success !!!
