I have very less eye sight is it impact my recruitment of government job

Akshita Dhiman 7th Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Usually, 3 percent reservation is given for PWD candidates for Group A, B, C, D direct recruitment jobs. In this one percent is reserved for people with disabilities such as

  • blindness or low vision
  • Locomotor disability
  • Hearing impairment

In case of low vision, a person is visually impaired even after treatment and is capable of using additional vision aid for the execution of work.

One can apply for government jobs only if a person has not less than 40 percent of relevant disability. Meaning anyone above 40% disability is liable to apply for reservation under PWD.

To avail of this reservation, you have to submit a Disability Certificate. A Medical Board will issue this certificate after a thorough examination of the candidate.

Talking about your case, i f you have a minor vision problem, it shouldn't be a problem. You can apply for government jobs. In case the visual impairment exceeds 40% you are liable to apply under PWD with an authentic Disability Certificate.

I hope this helps!

For any further questions, please revert!

Thank you!

Subhrajit Mukherjee 22nd Jun, 2021

See most of the government jobs don't have any such imposition. In general the state government states that the candidate must be a Indian Citizen. So in general there are no such grievances that you can't get job in Uttarakhand Government. If there are some exceptions then you will get those from the notification.

Now if you can specify the examination then we can provide you more specific information regarding the examination.

How I get government job after 12th ??? Because I am belong to very poor family !!! I need get job early please tell me Its very urgent

pdwords Student Expert 13th Jun, 2021

Hello,

Based on 12th qualifications you can appear for SSC CHSL/MTS/Stenographer or there are recruitment done for clerical or assistant post in various state and central government organizations which you can apply for, there are also recruitment for constable, you can stay updated regarding this by subscribing to various job portals, inspite of whatever problem you face you should still try to finish your graduation even if that means by distance mode, and even in distance education there are financial aids offered to candidates belonging to reserved categories, so you can make use of it in case you belong to any, the scope obviously increases a lot more once you are a graduate, also one important thing is recruitment process of government isn't a swift process, it takes time in fact considerable amount of time, so for the time being you can try for opportunities in private sector such as taking up internships, this too will help a lot, and because of covid pandemic there are many more working opportunities from home which you can try for.
