According to me, Firstly, student should understand and analyse his/her skills and interest and should choose the subject/course accordingly. Every student is talented in his/her own ways. Not everyone can become doctors, scientists, or crack competitive exams. Every student has different choice, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
If you are sure and confident in what you are doing or what you wish to pursue, you must share about your interest, your plans with your parents. Discuss with them about the course, its future scope.
Now, About your course, Gaming is a highly competitive sector where a professional needs to have a fine balance of fun, creativity and technology. Gaming industry requires people from different segments but the most important aspect is passion and creativity.

if you are interested in gaming take computer science engineering ,in that take computer graphics and and algorithms courses, but there is no gaurantee of job in India. do it if you have interest
