As my father job in Gujarat but belong to Rajasthan with st category and I have pass my 12 std in Gujarat board can I apply in REAP process 2020 to get admission in Rajasthan on jee mains score

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 23rd May, 2020
Hello .
To be eligible for REAP candidate must have domicile certificate of the Rajasthan, there are three categories of domicile:
as your father belongs to Rajasthan if they are  the bonafide residence of Rajasthan then you are eligible for REAP , because you belong to the domicile Category A where candidate or his parent must be the bonafide residents of Rajasthan.
Let's see these all categories :
Domacile A: in this category you or your parent must be bonafide residents of Rajasthan, if you do not comes in this category then second category is there.
Domacile B: in this category a candidate must have studied or must be studying in any educational institute of Rajasthan for up to 3 year and the year in which you have passed or appearing for the qualifying exam must also include in these years, if you do not comes in this category then again third category is there.
Domicile C : if you are a child of any retired / serving employee of Rajasthan government then you comes in this category along with this there are some more options to become in this category you can see through the below link:
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/reap-eligibility-criteria
That means you are eligible to appear for REAP through your JEE mains score if you or your father are bonafide residents of Rajasthan, your final selection will be on the basis of your JEE mains score.
And remember while applying for REAP you will have to attach your domicile certificate as a document also if you do not then your application will be cancelled.
Best of luck.

I have failed in my 12th boards..... i was studying in biology stream class 12th... In Gseb(Gujarat Board). I Failed In Two Subjects, Chemistry And Physics. Would i be able to give purak pariksha or compartment exam in July for 2 subjects.????????? what are the other options for my carrer?

Sohamsengupta8 9th Jun, 2020

Hello student,

Don't worry. In this case you should complete your compartmental examination to have the the academic certificate of passing your 10 + 2 level. Otherwise you cannot pass 10 + 2 level at all.

My advice is that you should contact to the official customer care number of Gujarat state board. Hope this will help you

i got 77.51 percentile in Gujarat board but to be eligible for the jee i need 80 Percentile,is rechecking a good choice, should i apply?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 25th May, 2020

Hello,

eligibility critieria for jee is candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board. There is no percentage bar in JEE mains eligibility rules.

still, if you want to apply for rechecking then you can do. You must be knowing that in which paper you expected more and got less than you thought. Apply for those.  77.51 percentile is not bad from a state board.

Hope it helps!

What is the minimum percentage of Gujarat board and gujcet to get admission in Ahmedabad University?

Soumili Majumdar 26th May, 2020
Hello there,
Since you haven't mentioned your category, I'm assuming that you are from the general category. Now, for different branches there are different cut-off ranks of GUJCET in Ahmedabad University. Analysing the previous year data, we see that the cut-off ranks were :
8940 for Mechanical Engineering,
9435 for Chemical Engineering, and,
1330 for Computer Science Engineering
If you are aiming for CSE, then you should rank 1000 or below to be on the safe side. For other branches, you should rank atleast 5000.

Now, GUJCET rank is calculated taking into consideration both your board marks and your GUJCET score.

60% from your boards + 40% GUJCET score
Suppose,
Your PCM aggregate is 92%.
Then, 60% of 92% = 55.2
Also, you get 105/120 in GUJCET, which is 87.5%.
Then, 40% of 87.5% = 35.
Total = 90.2 percentile. This will decide your rank.

If you got less on one part, try balancing it with the other one.

For getting admission in Ahmedabad University, you need to score 90+ percentile in GUJCET.

Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

i got failed in 12 gujarat board 2020 so now can i give gujcet exam

Sikkandarbatcha M 20th May, 2020

Hi,

Sorry dear, you are not eligible to take gujcet exam 2020 since it is compulsory to get pass mark in 12th class from any recognised education board in India.

Don't lose your hope. Be patient. Get pass mark in 12th class by attending supplementary exam and then you are eligible to take gujcet exam 2021.

All the best.

here are some college names for suggestion:-

  1. MBM engineering college
  2. Government engineering college
  3. Central University,Rajasthan
