Dear aspirant,
The HCU entrance exam is conducted or 100 marks ( one mark per question) in mcq type. How you prepare for the exam depends completely on the subject that you are opting for. Basic tips will be, strengthen your basics, because most of the questions are conceptual. Secondly go through the previous year question papers that are available on the site of UOH. You will get many repeated questions from previous year exams. For further queries you can comment down below.

Hello,
University of Hyderabad conducts the UOH Entrance Exam for admission into various programmes namely - Integrated MA/M.Sc, MA, M.Sc and MFA programmes.
The entrance examination for admission into M.Sc. (Maths/Applied Maths and Statistics-OR) is based on a written test. The written test consists of objective type questions only. Admission to the M.Sc. programme will completely be based on the performance of the candidate in a national level written test. Candidates are expected to have a sound knowledge of B.Sc. level general chemistry and basic mathematics. The question paper will consist of two parts: Part A carries 25 marks and Part B carries 75 marks. There will be negative marking for each of the wrong answers.
Talking about book, the " Mathematics for all Indian Universities MSc / MA" by Khanna Publications is the best book to refer.
Best Wishes.
