Tamilakam, or Thamizhagam, refers to the geographical region inhabited by the ancient Tamil people.

Ancient Tamilakam ruled by three different empires those are the Chera, Chola, and Pandyas during the Sangam Age. Ancient Tamilakam people's social life is associated with the division of land.

Mesopotamia (which means 'between two rivers' in Greek) was an ancient region situated in the eastern Mediterranean bounded in the northeast by the Zagros Mountains and in the southeast by the Arabian Plateau, corresponding to today's Iraq, mostly, but also parts of modern-day Iran, Syria and Turkey.
