What is the meaning of Mesopotamian civilization?

Mayank Chowdhary 13th Jul, 2020

Mesopotamia (which means 'between two rivers' in Greek) was an ancient region situated in the eastern Mediterranean bounded in the northeast by the Zagros Mountains and in the southeast by the Arabian Plateau, corresponding to today's Iraq, mostly, but also parts of modern-day Iran, Syria and Turkey. Mesopotamia started being considered as a civilization since the folks residing over here began specializing in occupations that they liked as per their comfort. This actually happened because there was enormous production of grains and vegetables going on due to farming equipments developed to make farming more efficient.
