If someone got Bsc. pass Home science course in Lady Irwin but he/she want to do research in pure sciences like( biological sciences, biotechnology) how to achieve that goal? what steps should he/she should take respectively???? please suggest better and read question carefully.

Prakhar Medhavi 1st Jan, 2022

Hello candidate

You seem to be a research enthusiast. If you want to pursue research in natural sciences like(biological sciences, biotechnology) then pursuing a B.Sc pass Home Science will not be at all in like you want it to be. You should pursue a normal B.Sc from any college which you get and should try to score a good GPA there. After that you can appear for national level exams like IIT JAM to get a seat at the IITs for post graduation. Thereafter, you can pursue a phd in your respective field of your interest and thus secure and fulfill your dream of being a researcher in your respective field.

Bsc(pass) Home science student want to do masters and PHD in complete basic sciences and many masters entrance exams eligiblity criteria said first class Bachelors or equivalent so should someone change their course or remain in this so that in future he/she can change as per choice??

Sohamsengupta8 31st Dec, 2021

Hello

Rules of UGC says that changing of stream is possible if the candidate stay on the same course of study or any other science stream he or she can change for masters or PHD degree. For this change he or she has to achieve at least first class in the the graduation level in science. It is possible for him or her to change the course of study retaining on the science course as basic science.

Hope this will help.
