What is the scope of a B.Sc in horticulture in India?

Hello,

It is basically deals with the art science and technology of growing & cultivation of plants that include medicinal flowers fruits vegetables nuts seeds mushrooms algae and non food crops ornamental trees

It not only includes the cultivation of plants but also includes plant conservation landscape restoration landscape and garden design construction maintenance and arboriculture

A horticulturist is a person who uses his skills and knowledge in the production of plants

The main aim of horticulturist is to improve the plant growth quality nutritional value yield and resistance to insects diseases and environmental stresses

Scope & business in horticulture are increasing day by day floriculture is a part of horticulture which is a process of cultivation of flowering in making perfumes & cosmetics in the pharmaceutical industry growing vegetables is a most imp part of horticulture which is much demanding in India

No, you wouldn't as such. Obviously, people will be speaking their regional language and mother tongue, but you would not face any problem in your course or studies. Mostly, the english language is used for studies and explanation by the teachers. And, if you don't understand anything, you can always ask for explaination in English. So, don't worry. Students from different states with different languages come and study at a place, that doesn't mean, they don't understand anything. There are always ways and solutions for every problem. And, if you learn the regional language slowly, better for you.

how i apply bsc in horticulture in bhawani patana college

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well!!

Bachelor of Science in Horticulture is a 4 year long course divided into semester of 8. The Eligibility Criteria to take admission in BSc in horticulture are:-

The student can do 10+2 with  Physics, Biology  and Chemistry with 50% or more than 50% marks.

There are two ways to take admission in bsc Horticulture in Bhawanipatana college these ways are:-

1. The candidates apply  online or offline mode with fill some necessary information and submit the necessary documents. Admission will be done on the basis of your 10+2 performance.

2. The college will conduct an entrance test, entrance test conducted by ICAR or HORTI CET. Admission  will depend on  subjects  marks a candidate scores on the test and the cut-off.

On a provisional basis will be required to write an entrance exam for those Candidates who are applying for Bachelors of Science [B.Sc] in Horticulture.
