Well,the fees for the Diploma in Hotel Management,is not at at all fixed. It varies from college to college and location to location.Approximately,it ranges between Rs 10000-Rs 200000 per annum.
It is a full time 3 year course divided into 6 semesters.

There are different entrance exams based on National level are - NCHM JEE, IIHM eCHAT and AIMA UGAT. Exams under State level are UPSEE BHMCT, UKSEE BHMCT, MAH CET HM and WBJEE HM. Now let me explain you the nature of each exam-National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) - It is conducted by NTA each year. By applying for NCHM JEE you can opt for two undergraduate courses Generic and Specialization. Since NCHM falls under Ministry of Tourism, it regulates admission to professional courses that are offered at the affiliated 21 Central of Hotel Management, 20 private institute of Hotel Management, 21 State Government Institutes of HM and a Public Sector Undertaking. It is written examination of 3 hours and exam pattern of NCHM JEE is (30) Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, (30) Reasoning and Logical deduction, (30)General Knowledge and Current Affair, (60) English Language and 50 questions on Aptitude of Service Sector. Each question carries 4 marks for every correct answer and deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Courses offered is B.SC in Bachelors of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, total duration of course is 3 years.International Institute of Hotel Management Electronic Common Hospitality Admission Test (IIHMechat) - IIHM e-CHAT offerss admission on basis of the performance in online test, personal interview, group discussion, and candidates. Seven IIHM are as folloes IIHM Delhi, IIHM Kolkata, IIHM Bangalore, IIHM Pune, IIHM Jaipur, IIHM Ahemdabad and IIHM Hyderabad. It is Online based examination of 1 hour and the question paper comprises of 50 questions in total which is mutiple based questions. It comprises of language comprehension,data interpretation and analysis, awareness of Indian and Global Economy, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Mathematical Skill.Courses offered by these colleges is BSc. Consisting of 180 qusetion - English language(40), numerical and data analysis(30), reasoning and intelligenence(30),GK(30), Service Aptitude(25) and Scientific Aptitude(25). UTTAR PRADESH STATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION BACHELORS OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY (UPSEE BHMCT) - It provides undergraduate hotel management courses to 13 participating Institutes of Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Technical University(UPTU) and Lucknow conducts the exam. Course offered by these institute is Bachelors in hotel management and catering technology of 3 years. It consists of 75 questions where sections are Reasoning and logical deduction, numerical ability and scientific aptitude, Gk and english language, 4 marks for right answer and no negative marking.MAHARASHTRA HOTEL MANAGEMENT COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM (MAH HM CET) - It offers admission to undergraduate hotel management and catering technology course of 4 years. The offered courses is approve by All India council for technical education (AICTE) and will be offered by government institutes, government aided or un-aided, and university departments of institutes located in Maharashtra state. It consists of 100 questions awarding 1 marks for right answer and no negative mark; duration 90 minutes. Sections of question paper are Gk and awareness (30), English language (40) and Reasoning (verbal and arithmetic) (30).GURU GOBIND SINGH INDERPRASTHA UNIVERSITY COMMON ENTRANCE TEST BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY - The exam is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Inderprastha University once in a year to offer admission at its affiliated colleges/institutes. Course offered by this institue is Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology of 3 years.The question paper consists of 150 questions and the duration of exam is two and half hour. Four marks will be awarded for eery right answer and one mark deducted for every wrong answer. Following are the sections of question paper English language and Comprehension (25%), Gk (20%), Logical and Analytical Ability including computer awareness (30%) and Knowledge of commerce/accounts and science (20%).PANJAB UNIVERSITY TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY APTITUDE TEST - PUTHAT is conducted by the Panjab University to offer admissions for B.Sc program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (H HA) and Tourism Management of 3 years. The question paper consists of 100 questions of one mark each for correct answer and 25% deduction for every wrong answer. It has (30)English Language, (20)GK and Current affair, (20) reasoning ability and (30) hotel industry awareness.OBEROI-STEP - The Oberoi group offers two programmes namely “The Hotel Operations Programme” and “The Kitchen Operations Programme”. The course aims at training candidates in core operational departments of a hotel and offers practical training to qualifying candidates at their assigned hotels of The Oberoi Group. On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded a Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS) degree from IGNOU and will also receive a “Certificate of Proficiency” from The Oberoi Group. Course offered is Hotel Operations Programme and Kitchen Operations Programme of 3 years. They have 3 round process where all are elimination round. First round is interview round, where candidates have to perform some activities and questionnaire. In second round, shortisted candidates have one-on-one interview round with the panelists. Final round consists of performing some activities and questionnaire both followed by final interview. However, Final round is conducted on different day.ECOLE HOTELIERE LAVASA ENTRANCE TEST - The hospitality institute Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa is certified by Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland. The institute is located in Maharastra and provides two business internships to candidates at hotels in India or abroad. Course offered is hospitality management programme of 4 years. After registering yourself your applications will be scrutinised by the college authorities and are called for PI, which aims at testing confindence level of the student. After that the final list is sent out respective students email address.IHM AURANGABAD ENTRANCE EXAM- The Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad was set up with the joint efforts of Dr. Rafiq Zakaria’s - Maulana Azad Educational Trust and Taj Group with aim to create high quality centre in hospitality education. The Indian hotel chain Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces provides technical assistance for the course. Selected candidates are offered with training/internship at Vivanta by Taj - Aurangabad. Courses offered are BA (Hons) Hotel Management and BA (Hons) Culinary Art, total of 4 years. After registration, you have to apply for online profilling test, which is sent online in your mail where you just need to click and attempt the test, an assessment report will be created reflecting your score. After clearing the test you will be called to IHM Auragabad for GD and PI along with assessment report. Hello, Greetings. NO there is not any provisions of sectional cutoff marks in this entrance examiantion. This exam carries a 200 question which are divided into 5 sections namely english language 60 questions, numerical and scientific aptitude 30 questions, aptitude of service sector 50 questions, reasoning and logical deduction 30questions and current affairs and general knowledge 30 questions. there is a penalty of 1 marks in every wrong answer and 4 marks is awarded to every correct answer. The duration of exam is 3 hours.
