It is must to give the NCHMCT entrance exam to secure a seat in Hotel Management (distance course) From IGNOU, plus you need to complete courses worth 40 credits offered by IGNOU through distance learning.
Hotel Management course is a Collaboration of School of Social Sciences branch of IGNOU with NCHMCT, Ministry of Tourism.

Hey there, as you have told that you did diploma in civil engineering and then a hotel management course, as you have mentioned you have completed your graduation. You can always go for MBA if you have more than or atleast 50% marks in graduation you will be elegible to sit for various enterance exams like CAT,GRE,etc
so the ans is YES you can go for MBA only after graduation.

Eligibility criteria for the course
The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in xii board. Selection for government recognized colleges is done through the common Entrance test held in April every year. Test consist of McQ s in English, general Knowledge, reasoning and general Science. Further an interview or group discussion session is conducted by the college before final selection.
Other skills needed are
Candidate must be hard working and should possess excellent communication skills with an ability to handle disputes or criticism with patience. The candidate must be polite and respectful towards guests in all situations.
