See UPSC is an examination which requires a special attention that is to get a job through UPSC you need to study specifically as per the UPSC syllabus. Thus there are no options available that can ensure you more about the selection. I would recommend you that you should take the subject you like the most. This is a very important point because if you take the subject you like then while studying it you will not feel bored or get exhausted. This will help you to study your BSc subject as well as your preparation for UPSC. So take the subject you like the most.

Now you can take some subjects which are in your UPSC syllabus like BSc Economics. So its better for you to go for the subject you like so that you can focus more on your preparation and don't get frustrated due to your BSc courses. But I assure you that the things you will learn in BSc will not be needed exactly in your UPSC preparation. Instead you will find that foundational knowledge to the subject is important. To become an IAS officer you need to clear UPSC civil services examination

You can choose any subject or course  of your choice based on your interest for your graduation after your 12th commerce like bcom, bba etc

This is because,

to be eligible for UPSC  examination there is no compulsion to be a graduate in a particular subject, all you need to be eligible is that you should be a graduate in any discipline

So you can choose any discipline of your interest, but yes if you choose BA or Arts

then

choosing Arts can be really helpful for your UPSC  examination, this is because in Arts you will be learning subjects like history , polity etc which are a part of the UPSC syllabus so it will help you in your upsc examination

*You  must  have  a bachelor's  degree in any, discipline    from a  recognised university.

To become an IAS officer, you have to qualify in the civil services examination conducted by the union public service commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted every year and recruits candidates to IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and so many more of such esteemed credentials. Applications are invited in the beginning of every year (Jan - Feb). There would be a preliminary examination, main examination and an interview. The exam format is as follows

• Paper 1 - General Studies (objective type questions)

100 questions worth a total of 200 marks are asked from the subjects history, polity, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, economy, current affairs

• Paper 2 - General studies 2

80 questions worth 200 marks are asked from the subjects mathematics, logical reasoning, reading comprehension etc.

You having a background in science and a graduation in History could only help you in pursuing IAS

If we speak broadly then only the president of India can suspend an IAS officer after looking at the case.

But we must know that the central government has no less power, maybe it is not written on paper that it can suspend but central has rights to go through the matter and suggest what to do.

In case the suspension is permanent or more than a year then the central review committe is asked what to do in the case.

Now as you asked for what an IAS officer can be suspended then, it is very simple that law and administration is above anyone, no matter on which post a person is sitting but if someone violates the law, commit crimes then he/she will come under charge and so will happen to an IAS.

If  you belong to Humanities stream, you can begin with reading your own NCERT textbooks in details. The core basic of the UPSC CSE is started by reading the NCERTs to form a strong base. Even if you belong to other streams, at this phase, you can begin with just reading newspaper. It may appear to be simple, but, when you will start reading newspaper in your UPSC preparation, newspaper alone will take 2-3 hours to get the details. Read The Hindu and The Indian Express, slowly you will develop pace and can identify the important topics to be read. It can save your further time. Right now, just focus on your class 11 and 12 studies. If we see, it will be too early to prepare for the exam. UPSC prepares the syllabus accordingly and it will take a maximum of two years to complete the comprehensive syllabus including both Mains and Prelims. So, right now you can focus on your studies and can begin with newspaper reading.
