Hello,

Firstly the official notification of IBPS Specialist Officer of this year is yet to come, it's being expected to get released by this month, though it's a tentative schedule, the eligibility criteria for a law officer is passed bachelor's degree in law from a university recognized by Bar Council of India, and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council, the age limit is between 20 to 30 years, once the official notification gets released we will have the exact date by which the appearing candidates must have completed his/her educational qualifications, hence if your results get declared by that prescribed time period, you can become eligible to apply, it's essential for candidates who qualify prelims, mains to show the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of interview in the form of original documents along with its photocopies.

hello sir my date of birth is 21 march 1990, i belong to OBC category so , am i eligible for ibps clerk 2021 exam or not????

Sharon Rose Student Expert 26th Sep, 2021

Hello,

The upper age limit to appear for IBPS Clerk 2021 is 28 years as on July 1, 2021. Candidates belonging to OBC-NCL category are given 3 years age relaxation on upper age limit. Your age as on July 1, 2021 is 31 years 3 months 11 days. But only 3 years relaxation is given on upper age limit so if your age is below 31 years you are eligible. You are not eligible to appear for IBPS Clerk 2021 as your age is above 31 years.

Hello,

Firstly, let me tell you that the upper age limit for applying for IBPS post is 28 years. Secondly, In this year you might had been of 29 years, which makes you ineligible for the same.  But there are some relaxation for few of the categories, like :

  • OBC-NCL: 3 years Relaxation
  • SC/ST: 5 years Relaxation
  • PWD:10 years Relaxation
  • Widows, Divorced women, women legally separated who have not remarried :9 years Relaxation
  • Domicile of J&K from January 1, 1980- December 31, 1989: 5 years Relaxation
  • Persons affected from 1984 riots: 5 years Relaxation

If you belongs from either of these, then you can apply for relaxation.

Hope this answer will help you.

Thank you!

Hello Sir, my birthdate is 18 Dec 1993, so would I be eligible for SBI and IBPS Clerk exams 2022 ? ?

Purbayan Chatterjee 16th Sep, 2021

Hi Jayeeta,

Age limit for clerical position for both SBI and IBPS is 28 years. Since you were born in 1993 in the month of December, you will be 28 years + (some months) old in 2022 (April) and therefore you are not eligible for either of SBI or IBPS Clerk.

However, you can still try for the PO positions in both SBI and IBPS as the age limit for PO is 30 years.

Hope this was helpful.
