I got 98.28 percentile in CAT 2021 and selected the top IIMs at the time of application. Also i have 90%+ in my 10th, 12th, graduation. My sectional cut off in Q&A was 84.4 percentile and other two were above 85. However no invite yet from the IIMs. is this possible? Male, General, Engineer.

Hello Nikhil,

Hope you are doing well!

First of all, congratulations on your CAT score.

It seems you have a great profile, and meet all the eligibilities. Unfortunately, it depends on the IIM to call a student for interview, and a good score, and good profile is not everything.

Though this in not common for your score to not get a call, and is really unfortunate in your case.

Hope my answer helped you.

Best of luck!

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great!

To answer your question, NO, you will not get calls from the IIM's you haven't applied, and no score will be sent to any other IIM.

You will be getting calls only from the IIM's you have applied.

Hope I answered your query.

Please let me know in case of any other questions,

Hello Aspirant ,

You have a good past academic score but you do not have work experience , for admission in top IIMs ( Ahmedabad . Bengaluru , Calcutta  ) you will need more than 99.5 percent which translates to a cat score of around 105+9 according to past year scores ).

For IIM ( Indore , Lucknow , Kozhikode  )  around 99 percentile is required which will be around 95+ CAT score.
