I have my state obc-ncl certificate. would i require to apply for central obc-ncl certificate for admisssions into IITs through GATE? How to check my caste falls under central obc-ncl list?

Piyush 28th Feb, 2022

hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that to get admission in IIT's through GATE Exam, you need OBC_NCL Certificate issued by the central government, not the state government.  Also, the validity period of the OBC certificate is three years from the date of issuing the certificate.

I hope that this will help.

I cant score 75% marks in class 12 board exam but I want to study in IITs or nits so can I give board exam next time for the IITs or nits ??????

Anurag Khanna 18th Feb, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See there is no percentage criteria to appear for JEE-Main but if you are seeking admission to NITs/IIITs on the basis of JEE-Main score or if you have to sit for JEE-Advance then 75% in class 12th is required.

What you can do is you can appear for examination of secondary course either from NIOS or from any other open board which is recognized and if you get 75% marks there then you can definitely get admission in NITs or IITs on the basis of your JEE-Main and JEE-Advance score respectively.

*******Also note that since last 2 years this criteria has been waived off due to the pandemic but most probably this year the criteria might get restored, so kindly wait until any official notification gets out. *******

From now very few time is left for JEE-Main 2022 so it is time to bind up your JEE-Preparation and to bind it up I am enlisting down some preparation tips which would help you in your final preparation :-

****** Just go through the notes which you have made at the time of studying different concepts. Grab all formulas thoroughly, you can do this by writing it in the notebook or practice some numerical on it.

****** Practice previous year's question papers and sample papers as many as you can because it will enhance your self-confidence and time management skill

****** Don't forget to do exercise and yoga regularly to keep your body mentally and physically fit.

You can also take JEE-Main Learning package for solving series of mock tests :-

I cant score 75% marks in class 12 board exam but I want to study in IITs or nits what should I do????? is there any other option to get into IITs or nits if I cant score 75% marks in class 12 board exam?????

keshav kumar 18th Feb, 2022

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great.

No, you cannot get admission in IITs if you have scored less than 75% marks in the 12th standard. This criterion has been lifted off in 2020 when the covid erupt but now they get back to their old tradition. Now you have to score at least 75% marks if you want admission in IITs and for SC/ST it is 65% marks.

Hope this helps.

This criterion has been lifted off in 2020 when the covid erupt but now they get back to their old tradition. Now you have to score at least 75% marks if you want admission in IITs and for SC/ST it is 65% marks or you need to be in the top 20 percentile of your board. isnt food science a great course? then why are people looking at it badly? even food science courses at iits are not appreciated. why?

keshav kumar 12th Feb, 2022

Hi,

Hope you are doing great.

Food science is genuinely a growing economy that contributes around 14% of manufacturing GDP and also contributes 13 % of India’s total food exports. It doesn't matter what the people are thinking of this course. If you like it, you can do it. Food science offers various roles in its industry. Some of the roles are QA/Food Safety roles and some Research and Development roles. After completing this course you can work in the milk processing industry, meat processing, bakery industry, winery, , flavor development, etc.
