For a Career in Astronomy you should ideally Graduate in Physics followed by PG in Astronomy, Astrophysics or Radioastronomy from reputed institutes like IIST Trivandrum, IISc Bangalore as well as Top IITs. Careers in India are limited to Government Labs, Observatories as well as Research Organizations like ISRO, IISc and Radio Astronomy Centres, though the private Space Research Sector is steadily growing in India. You may aspire for a PhD abroad in US, UK or France for better career scope and prospects.

If the college in which you want to take admission in your second year is registered to the same university and if the second college allows such admission with the TC if your college in the same course, then you can take admission in it.

**Most of the colleges will not allow such things. But if you want to know properly contact the college.

See Staff Selection Commission has released the complete schedule for SSC CGL 2020 and the last date of application is January 31st 2021 and it does not provide correction facility in application form of  SSC CGL so if any mistake has been done then your form might be rejected and as you have mentioned that you have entered your wrong graduation percentage which may lead to the rejection of your candidature during document verification so to prevent the rejection I would recommend you to fill up a new application using another E-mail Id and Phone number form before January 31st with all correct details and also note that if you have submitted the application form and if not then you can edit the same. The application fee is also very minimal which is of Rs. 100/-.

Complete application process for SSC CGL 2020 is described below :-

• You have to fill the registration form very firstly.
• To register, you will have to enter your basic details.
• On submission of the registration form, your registration ID and password will be generated.
• To proceed further in SSC CGL application form, you have to login with your password and registration ID which which was obtained in Step 3.
• Now you should proceed to upload your photograph and signature. The size of the photograph should be between 20 KB to 50 KB while signature should be 10 KB to 20 KB.
• After filling the application form, you have to pay your examination fees either online or offline which is only Rs. 100/- for General and OBC category and for Female/SC/ST there is no fee but note that for payment last date is February 2nd 2021.
• On successful fee payment, the application process is complete and then you should take printout of SSC CGL application form.

see most of the indian institute cgpa based grading system and you have to fill your graduation marks in most of the application either in cgpa or in percentage system. in theoretically cgpa and cpi is same and cpi is the average of the all semester spi you have obtained in your exam. however if there is option to enter for percentage then it would be better to use percentage since you have percentage of marks in your provisional certificate.  however if possible do contact with exam control authority for clarification.

Having a more or less Average Academic Background, being from Non Engineering, hence less competitive category, I believe securing anything between 99.4-99.7 will be sufficient to ensure a call from IIMC. For any other General-Engineer-Male, having an average academic background, the Cut is nearly higher between 99.7-100. However, this will only ensure you receive a Call from IIMC. Further you need to nail the GD/PI and WAT to secure your seat at IIMC.
