pdwords Student Expert 27th Aug, 2020
Hello,

If you're wholly and solely focused on cracking UPSC, go for graduation in humanities discipline such as political science, geography, public administration, economics, history as UPSC covers all these subject in its syllabus, and you can also have these as optional in Mains paper of UPSC, and choosing these will provide you more advantage in the sense, the optional paper is nothing short of graduation level studies, so your burden will minimize as you'll be already acquainted with the studies.

In general, there's no such restriction about belonging to certain stream will only make you qualify this exam, but yes, humanities students have their own advantage as they're already acquainted with the major part of the syllabus throughout the school as well as college academics life.

In case, you're not sure about this, you can also choose to have a back up plan, many engineering, CA, Medical field students too qualify this exam, so eventually it's all about your preparation, dedication and single-minded focus. The eligibility criteria of UPSC states that candidates need to attain 21 years and passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, you can appear even in your final year.

I want to do jbt(regular) and graduation in ba program from correspondence which subjects combination should I take in graduation such I have less burden .

pdwords Student Expert 27th Aug, 2020

Hello,

See, the question of a subject being easy and manageable is largely dependent on you, and why I say this for instance someone may find English easy to deal, but for somebody else he/she might not find it interesting enough to explore the literature world or even the other aspects such as grammar or prolific writing can be a nightmare to deal with, you should choose subject according to your area of interest, there can be people who like literature like Hindi or English, but then you also have to deal with the grammar part, literature world here, and if you have interest in none, it'll get difficult to fetch more marks or even study diligently for matter, there are various subjects in arts, if you find polity interesting choose political science, if you find history interesting and have deep inclination to learn about the bygone era then choose this, if you like mathematics and finance then economics can be a great  options, if you like exploring the earth, and find mapping interesting choose geography.

Hey, In 10th I scored 77% and In 12th I scored 66% and Now Im in graduation Can please help me that how much Ill score in graduation and What should be the minimum CAT percentile for me to get a call from IIM. General Category.

Arihant kapoor 23rd Aug, 2020

CAt is the entrance exam to get admission in top B colleges of India. The top B colleges are IIMs. Now, IIMs are most popular, so there is a huge competition to get admission in top IIMs, like IIM A, IIM B. Now, your percentile, graduation marks, class 10 and class 12 marks are also included in the process of selection in IIMs. Now, to get an interview call from top IIMs, you should get atleast 99.9 percentile in CAT exam. As the competition is much high, than this is required to get interview call.

Hope this helps.

choose your career with your interest, not with the areas that have high job opportunities, it will surely help.

course or college which is most imprtant

Ayush jain 22nd Aug, 2020

Hello,

In my point of view it is  College which is more important as compared to course .

Now, I am taking an example of Engineering college and Branch,Which will helps you to get more clarity of your concerned Question .

Basically if you are passionate about any particular field then undoubtedly go for it as every branch has the scope for being successful.

The major differences between branches is their opportunity to get high paid jobs. Undoubtedly the job openings of civil engineering is less than computer science due to which most of the engineers learn coding and stuff to get absorbed in any IT sector.

BUT,

When it comes to the tag of an IIT/NIT/BITS it matters more than your branch. Good college will reform you and make your personality way better than you can think and you will have a great peer group with whom you can work on startup ideas and stuffs. Moreover, nowadays a person is not defined by his/her engineering branch. Anyone can do anything in those 4 years of engineering. Due to the presence of internet and many other sources everyone keeps learning new things round the clock. You might think software development and coding is only limited to CSE Engineers, NO, even ECE, EEE and BIOTECH (obviously all other branchs) People code. This becomes easier if you are with smart people which you will find in good colleges only.

A successful career required a job where you can boost your energy and efficiency with passion and interest.

Lastly,It is you only  who knows what i wanted to be.So if you are not getting a good college but you getting you desired branch then opt that college and work hard because ultimately only u have to face that race where everybody wants to get placed in best of the best company of their respective branch.

I think this will helps you to get clear view of your question
