Hello, i have a cgpa of 8.2 in 10th, 68% in 12th and 57% in graduation along with 20 weeks of internsips during graduation and i am planning to take GMAT to try and score 700+ in it. Will i then be eligible for SP Jain PGDM programme?

Shivang Dubey 2nd Jun, 2020

Hey Pratik

According to your academic scores you need to have an excellent score in either XAT, GMAT or CAT. And to be eligible for admission you need to score at least 650+ in GMAT. And for GMAT, you should score at east 750-760 marks to compensate your previous records and get a call for PGDM further admission process.

And your selection depends on your performance and the deciding committee which cannot be predicted easily, but to be on safer side, score good. For further query ask us, All the best.

I have scored 91% in 10th and 74% in 12th and 8 cgpa in graduation. should I prepare for CAT to get calls from IIM?

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020

Hii,

You should prepare, apply and appear for the CAT exam and also for other top B-school examinations for admissions to top B-schools.But there are a number of other factors which judge whether you will get through even after getting a higher percentile. You subject in graduation subject, what category you fall in. If you belong to a commerce background then get 97-98+ percentile in cat then for sure you'll get calls from some of the CAP IIMs, MDI, IMT and other b schools, TOP IIMs are still very dicey. This doesn't apply for other b schools in the category like IIFT or even SIBM. For your cat prep.  For your cat prep. You can start off by appearing for a mock test conducted free online and assess your performance that'll help you see and judge the areas you need improvement in and then decide if you need coaching or you can go on by yourself. You can either go for self study or Prepare with a tutor. For english prep. You can start off with Word Power Made easy, do this book twice, don't rush but read it and learn for 30-45 mins everyday. For Quants and LR-Di Arun sharma. Giving a mock a week and analyzing your strengths and weakness in terms of topics, score, percentile score and the time you are spending per question is really important.

Do take mocks religiously and you'll see how much it can affect your preparation in a positive manner.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020

hi,

according to students review, college infrastructure and placement records , I would prefer AMET university over coimbatore marine college for course of bba in shipping management, students get placement according to their cgpa in graduation course, so you need to work really hard by  your self to secure a high paying jobs, also 90% students give an internship during final year of studies, some of the top recruiters visits the campus is,

Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd,  Bernhard Schulte Ship Management,  DHL Express, Fleet Management,   K Line,  Larsen and Toubro, MAERSK, Mitsui Osk.

How much percentile should I need in 10th and 12th board exam and also in graduation to have admission in S.P jain college of management (spjimr) Plz sir tell me soon ...I am in 10th now and iam too worried of that how can I get admission in spjimr... Please sir tell me soon ...

Pritam Singh 29th May, 2020

hey there

sp jain is one of the most renowned college for MBA in India. it takes admission in two ways one profile based and other score based which considers even low academic score. for admissions in mba programs at sp jain i will recommend you to have at least 80-85+ score in academics and if not then score very good percentile in CAT or XAT.

good luck
