Hello,

Yes,you can go graduation arts from IGNOU, you can take admission in the July Cycle of this year,usually application process commence in the month of May onwards but due to ongoing covid 19 pandemic there may be a delay.

Coming to UPSC, in order to appear for this exam, you  need to be 21 years old and passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university,you can apply even in your final year.

The best thing about UPSC is it doesn't discriminate among aspirants and hence allow people from all background to appear for this exam, and we see people from diverse fields appearing as well as qualifying for this prestigious exam.

To give you a brief of this exam;

UPSC Civil Service Exam consists of three level

and CSAT includes topics such as basic numeracy, comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical ability, general mental ability, decision making and problem solving, interpersonal skills including communication skills. It's a qualifying paper, you need to secure 33% in order to pass.

Both the paper consists of 200 marks and are MCQs based. Preliminary numbers are not added in the final list, you just need to score the required cut offs against your category

what is sponsorship in GME course?

Suryashis Chakraborty 22nd Mar, 2020

Hello Abi,

Sponsorship in GME basically means a job guarantee. Getting sponsored for GME by a shipping company means that one will be guaranteed a job as a Fifth engineer on-board after the GME programme. Sponsorship exams are conducted by companies on a regular basis.

However, sponsorship only mean that candidates will be guaranteed jobs once they complete their training. The whole course fee will have to be paid by the candidates and the company will not be accounted for the same.

Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
