i got 93% in 10th, 87.6% in 12th, 72.37% in graduation and got 56.88 percentile in cat. will i be selected for gdpi in fms bhu and fms delhi?

prerna vats 10th Jan, 2020

Hello student !

As fms is among the top colleges for mba so the cut off for this college is very high to get selected for gdpi round. So with percentile 56.88 it is impossible to get selected for the same. For getting enrolled in FMS you need to score 95+ percentile.

Hope this will help you

All the best

I have 93.67 Percentile in CAT 2019, 92.92% in 10th, 73% in 12th and 70% in Graduation with 3 years of work exp. Will I get shortlisted in IIM K (NC OBC Male)?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Jan, 2020

IIM K has a 3 staged selection process. The CAT 2019 scores and minimum academic scores need to be like this:

Going by your credentials, it is more likely that you will get shortlisted for IIM K. If you have selected IIM K as one of your options and filled in the online registration form, you will get shortlisted for further rounds like WAT and PI. With scores far better than the required minimum aggregate, you should be shortlisted for IIM K. The shortlisting is based on Aggregate Index Score Computation. And it looks like this:

CAT 2019 score: 45% weightage

Class 10th % score: 30% weightage

Class 12% score: 15% weightage

Gender/Academic Diversity score: 10% weightage

The details of each component can be checked at their official page: https://www.iimk.ac.in/academics/pgp/IIMKPGPAdmissionsPolicy2020.pdf Only female candidates are considered for Gender Diversity. So that is one place where you might lose out on points. But the rest, with your academic marks, you should be shortlisted. IIM K will release the list of the shortlisted candidates tentaively by the last week of January 2020. So please keep an eye on the official website for more information.

when a candidate join ncc in graduation ,when they faced any type of problem, like unbalanced of theirs study and ncc classes...

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 28th Nov, 2019
Tulsi, when you are passionate about something, you will find a way for everything and everything you do becomes more interesting and less painful or less inconvenient. Usually there are 3 classes conducted in a week. And the classes are conducted on the weekends. During the 1st year of your Graduation you will have 31 classes and during the 2nd and 3rd classes you will have 35 classes. And a day might look like this:

  • Morning 5.30 fallin for physical training.
  • Breakfast
  • Drill is carried out in uniform
  • Tea break
  • NCC classes on military topics or social topics by Instructors.
  • Lunch.
  • Resting time.
In evening time,
  • One or two lectures
  • Games are played.
  • Tea break
  • Evening fallin (roll call to inform the activities and schedule of the next day)
  • Dinner.
  • Cultural program.
  • Sleep.
And repeat. :)
I have a friemd who is NCC and this her personal experience. She says she has never felt confident or contended before joining NCC. And there is no attendance issue either because you are given exemption for those days you are taken for camps.

I have 64% in 10th , 66% in 12th and 75+% in graduation then how much percentile need for IIMBanglore, IIMAhemdabad , IIMLucknow and IIMkolkata

Nakkina Sai Bhaskar Student Expert 26th Nov, 2019

Hii,

To get admission in IIM A,B,C one should get more than 95 percentile in CAT exam. In addition to that the final admission to IIM's depends on the Personal Interview, Group Discussion,WAT and Academic Marks. Its okay with your Academics , if you score more than 95 percentile then you may get interview call from any one of these IIM's.
