In my school, there is no humanities course for class 11th.so,in which stream I can choose to become Ias or Indian foreign service officer. Can I choose economics?

pdwords Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello,

When it comes to eligibility criteria for UPSC IAS or IFS , candidate needs to have passed/appearing Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University, there's no specific aggregate required in this case.

So, your stream in 10+2 or graduation doesn't matter, you can pursue any stream as per your wish, eventually it'll your preparation and dedication that will matter and help you succeed. Yes,arts students have benefit in the sense they're already well acquainted with basics of syllabus, but if you want to keep your career options open you can go for Science or Commerce as well, in case of upsc it's also good to have back up plans.

I scored 6.2 cgpa in 10th, 56.7% in 12th n 65% in b.com. Will any mba colleges accept me if i score 98 percentile in CAT?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 24th Jul, 2019

Definitely if you get a 99 percentile you can definitely get a call from good colleges like XIMB, IMT, IMI etc. You may get calls from the newer IIMs like IIM Bodhgaya or Jammu. But your final selection in these colleges depends upon your performance in the GD/PI rounds. So prepare well not only for CAT but for the subsequent selection rounds as well. And try to maintain a good profile.
