I want to get admission at IISC Banglore. What should be my gate score for this?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 22nd Sep, 2019
Hello there!
Gate cut off for IISC keeps varying every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students , toughness level of exam etc.
Also one must note that IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff is different for all the courses and also vary for various categories. You haven't mentioned your branch so I can't help you. But you can know the past year cut off according to your branch and category by going through the link below :-

Is it necessary to give improvement exam in all 5 sujects or required subject(s) to take admission in iisc /iit?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 21st Sep, 2019
Hello,

To be eligible for IITs.A candidate must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

So , Candidates appearing for improvement in Board examinations can either appear in one or more subjects and secure 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST and PwD) after improvement, OR, appear for improvement in ALL subjects to be in top 20 percentile of the corresponding academic year.

I hope this helps.

can 1 year student take admission in iisc Bengaluru as for 2nd 3rd 4th year?

Papiya Mazumder 16th Sep, 2019

Hello,

As per your requirement, i would say that Please mention about the course you are looking for. The eligibility is different for different courses in undergraduate and postgraduate levels in iisc bangalore.

You need to pass certain examinations like JEE, GATE, KVPY etc. Ideally, it does not matter whether you are a dropout as long as you fulfil all eligibility conditions and the qualifying examinations.

You can't get direct admission for 2nd yr or any other year. You need to get admission from the first year itself and whatevr course you are doing or have done or a yr dropout.

You need to have a really good score though to get into this reputed institution.

Good luck

How much marks should I score in JEE Mains for admission in IIT Roorkee or Kanpur and IIsc for integrated Msc ?

ANPAM KUMAR Student Expert 15th Sep, 2019

Hey there

Iits and IISC do not accept JEE mains marks for admission into these colleges. Rather JEE mains marks are only a criterion which one should pass to sit in JEE advanced which decides whether you will be selected or rejected. Iits take admission through JEE advanced and IISC take through kvpy and jee at UG level. For masters you can give gate to get into these colleges.

Check about JEE mains
