Prangya panda 4th Sep, 2022

Hello,

B.Sc Physics aspirants must have at least cleared the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board in the Science stream and must have studied Physics as a mandatory subject at the qualifying level. Admission is merit-based most of the time, but some universities hold entrance exams for admission to BSc Physics.

Thank you.

can i get iisc at 5000 rank in jee asvance for ews category

Vishwathiga J 20th Aug, 2022

Dear Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to predict the exact cutoff situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam the and the preferences of the students.

We can make small predictions base Don the previous year trends.

IISc is the most prestigious university of India and the there are only 200 seats for BS degree and hence the competition is cut throat.

Looking at the previous year trends we can say that you have a good chance of getting into IISc if you get around 5 K rank. The cutoffs in the previous years for EWS category have been around 10 K. Hence, you have a good chance of getting into IISc

Will an academic gap of 2 years after 12th affect your chances of getting into an MSc program at IISERs or IISC after successfully finishing your BSc?

Jyoti Eyasmin 16th Aug, 2022

Dear Student,

According to the eligibility criteria, graduate degree from recognised university along with cut off marks in the respective subjects in the entrance exam is needed to take admission in IISC and IISER.
Until and unless you crack the exam and get a good rank, your gap year won’t matter.

Admission at IISER -Admission to the MS programme will depend on results from IISER TVM's national level online screening exams in each topic. Interviews performed by the individual schools will be used to choose among the candidates who were shortlisted as a result of the screening test.

Admission at IISC - 50% written test and 50% interview make up the selection process. Based on their GATE scores in BT, BM, EC, EY, MA, PH, and XL as well as their JAM 2022 scores in BT, CY, MA, and PH, candidates will be short listed for the test and interview.

Do i get IIsc Banglore with 96.2 percentile OBC with an expected CRL rank 29k? and im a boy

Sevit Kar 27th Jul, 2022

Hello,

As you scored 96.2 percentile , i would recommend you to kindly opt for NITS/IIITs /GFTI's rather than taking admission into this college. Because the cut off for this college is very high .

You need to KVPY for the enrollment of the B.Tech course and your rank should be under 400 being from obc category.

However there are certain conditions that needs to be considered such as :-

  1. Choices filled by the candidates
  2. Number of applicants in the examination
  3. Number of seats in the college
  4. Toughness level of the paper

what jee rank is required to get admission in IISC bengaluru?

Vishwathiga J 25th Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant,

To get into IISc to pursue a BS degree, the cut-off is usually very high for JEE Mains stream.

1. A general category student has to get a rank of below 500 in either JEE Mains or Advanced which is usually a percentile of 99.995 for JEE Mains and above.

2. A OBC-NCL category student usually needs a cutoff of about 12 k rank in Mains (CRL) which is about 98.7 percentile or about 13k in advanced

3. A SC candidate require about 20 k rank in which is about 98 percentile in Mains or about 15 k rank in Advanced

4. A ST candidate requires a rank of about 40 k which is about 96.2 percentile or 50k rank in advanced.

All these are based on previous year trends and is subject to change based on the number of students appearing for the exam, the preferences of students etc.
