Indian Institute of Technology
Hello Aspirant,
The jee mains eligibility criteria are as follows -
If you have failed in one subject then I would tell you to clear that backlog by giving supplement and appear for jee for the upcoming year .
In my view there is no point in joining IIT considering you as a general category candidate if your rank is 20000 . You may chances to get the lowest branches but as per my view it's better to opt for nits if you have secured a good rank in jee mains . There are certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college.
With a preparatory SC rank of 1612 in JEE Advanced, you have a chance to secure admission into IITs offering preparatory courses. These courses are designed for candidates who fall just short of the general cutoff but show potential. Your admission will depend on seat availability and the IIT's specific preparatory course criteria. Keep an eye on the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling and participate actively to explore available options.
