Hii Subeshan,
IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay are one of the best institutes in India and Each University has its own uniqueness and style of Education.Having a course in any IIT is good but if we compare both the universities IIT Kanpur is on the Higher side. This is because IIT Kanpur has more experience in Economics course than IIT Bombay. In IIT Kanpur the economics course was there as a UG integrated course with MSc chemistry for 5 years. From 2011 it was a 4 years BS Economics course. The faculty is also experienced.
Yes. IIT Kanpur is better than IIT Bombay.
Thank you.
Hello Siddharth,
Considering you as a general category candidate and as you want to take admission in IIT KANPUR for M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering so let me tell you that your all India rank should be under 3k only then you would be able to take admission in IIT Kanpur.
However the cut offs doesn't only depend on the difficulty level of the examination but it also depends on number of seats available in the college, previous year cut offs .
To get knowledge about the cut offs for previous years you can check out the link given below -

Hi
when you Manipal ICAS with IITs, it is not a fair comparison. As far as superiority is concerned, IITs are far better than Manipal's ICAS program. But then the USP of ICAS is its twinning aspect, first of all Manipal University already has good tie ups abroad to sent you off for the last two years of your engineering besides this you also have the option of taking SAT an applying to other universities abroad through lateral entry scheme. Now you have two options, if you look for comparison then there is no genuine comparison between the two since each one has its own perks. But going by rankings IITs are any day better.
Hello, congratulations for the result.
For finding out in which college you have a chance you can use the college predictor tool available on careers 360 website whose link is given below
