Preparatory course is an amazing way to prepare category students for the upcoming academic course. The only requirement of of levelling up from preparator re course to actual course is that you need to complete the the preparatory course and pass it.
if you have passed the proprietary course your seat which was reserved for you would be provided to you. So you have high chances that you would get naval architecture at IIT Madras.
If you have any more doubts you can ask them in the comment section.
I think you should go for Civil at IIT Madras. Even if you are interested in CSE, you will get a lot of options to pursue your interest at IITM. Being an Old IIT it provides you with a sea of opportunities. You can even study well in the first year and apply for a Branch Change to CSE or EE. Besides this IITM also has a provision for pursuing a Minor degree in some other Department besides majoring for your case in Civil Engineering. You should start developing new skills and mastering Technologies like ML, AI, Software and Data Science right from your First or perhaps Second year besides keeping up with Coursework in Civil and henceforth you can easily secure a Placement in a Top Software or Financial Technology Company like Microsoft, Nomura, Accenture Japan, Sony, P&G, Oracle, JPMC and so on.

In first semester, you will have four theory papers, Physics-1, Chemistry-1, Mathematics-1 and English-1. You will be having two practical subjects called Physics Lab-1 and Chemistry Lab-1.
In Second semester, you will again have four theory papers, Physics-2, Chemistry-2, Mathematics-2 and English-2. You will be having two practical subjects called Physics Lab-2 and Chemistry Lab-2.
Hello Abhik,
In any course of any college, the syllabus is depicted along with a small table of L-T-P, Which are the structures and credits associated with each subject in the course. L refers to lectures per week, T refers to the number of tutorial lectures per week and P refers to the number of Practical lectures per week which are to be devoted to the subjects of the course curriculum. So, I think this is the information you needed. iit madras also follows the same.
Thankyou.

Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well
I think first decide your branch and then take up colleges .
If you really want to study in iit then any branch in iit would be better .
If you want to take up cse then go for other college.
Hope this helps you
All the best!
Yes, do accept and float the present seat at IIT Guwahati in Josaa. There are many changes in preference order of students after the Second Mock round, hence the allotment at IITG. Most probably by Round 3 or 4, you should get Civil IIT Madras, so be prepared.
All the Best.
