Dhruv 6th Oct, 2020
Hello, it depends on your interest for branch. In my opinion you should go for IIT Madras Chemical Engineering because it is a top IIT and ranking are very good.
Placement wise, infrastructure wise, and all other things IIT Madras is a good college and branch is also good. If you work hard and learn subjects of chemical engineering and are good in Chemistry then you should definitely go with IIT Madras.

All the best.

My son got rank of 3785 in Advance. He is interested in IIT M and his choices are 1.Chemical 2. Metallurgical and Material 3. Biological. Need your inputs on JoSAA choice filling to secure a seat in IIT M. THanks.

Ayush Singh 6th Oct, 2020
Sir,

As the details you provided about the results of your son, your son can surely get the seat in IIT Madras.
As you have not mentioned your category, I am considering you in General only.
With this category , you should apply for JoSAA counselling and definitely seat will be grabbed by your son.

The preference for filling the form, according to me should be:
1.) Chemical Engineering
2.) Material Engineering
3.) Biological Engineering

First of all, in Chemical Engineering the rank for General is till 3300 but still if it didn't get filled then your son, has full chance to take it.

If he didn't get it, then in Materials and Biological Engineering, he will surely get the seat.

I am mentioning the link through which you can check the cut offs trends and the courses cut offs also:
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-advanced-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Through this you can easily access all the details of the colleges, in which your son is eligible for.

Hope that my answer helped you.

Good Wishes and All The Best to your son for future endeavours!!

THANK YOU

which is good bsc in data science from iit madras or btech in artificial intelligence and machine learning from chandigarh university

Kanith Sawkar 5th Oct, 2020

Hey aspirant,

Data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two of the most important fields in technology which will play a critical role in the future. Both the courses are valuable and can be beneficial for you in the future.

IIT Madras is undoubtedly the best college in India and studying there would be really helpful for your career because of the placements, exposure, opportunities for industry-wide collaboration and chances of international exchange programs with top universities of the world. Studying at an IIT campus, that too the best in the country is obviously an advantage. With this course, you can go on to be a Data Scientist, which is one of the most in-demand jobs in the world, as well as highly paid one. You can also go on to do further research, study abroad etc.

If you are aspiring to be an engineer in the field of AI and Machine Learning, then you can go for this course at Chandigarh University, which is also one of the top engineering colleges. Though definitely not as good as IIT Madras, it also has good placements compared to other private institutes. AI and Machine Learning is also a great field to choose which will have a lot of scope in the future.

Hope it helps. All the best!

which is better iit Madras or iit kharagpur electrical engineering

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 30th Sep, 2020

Hello,

IIT Kanpur will be best  option for EEE. Highest package offered is INR 1.42 crore.

You will get best skill set as you will get project for research. These projects are funded by government or MNCs.

IIT Madras is also a best option. Teaching and learning service is best at IIt campus.

Try your best to get IIT campus. Clear jee mains and jee advance. If you get rank below 1k then you can easily get core branch.
