    Hello aspirant,

    The official brouchure states that the relevant link to apply for IOCL through GATE will be open from January 4th on the Indian Oil's official website www.iocl.com. It also suggests to click on ONLINE to fill in the application. However, it is also been said that the applications will be available to be downloaded once the GATE admit card is available to be downloaded. This is because candidates need to enter their GATE registration number on the application. And the application forms haven't been released yet. At this point in time, the only option is to keep an eye on thr official website.

    Hi Aspirant

    If you are preparing for GATE and will appear in the exam ofcourse you can apply for IOCL.the guideline of IOCL recruitment is as follows:

    Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2019 examination for getting shortlisted for further selection process comprising of GD/GT and Personal Interview. However, short-listing will be based on merit of the candidates from different categories in line with the reservation policy of Government of India. Hence, merely qualifying in GATE-2019 examination does not guarantee short-listing for calling for GD/GT and Personal Interview.

    Chemical Engineering

    Civil Engineering

    Computer Science & Information Technology

    Electrical Engineering

    Electronics & Communications Engineering

    Instrumentation Engineering

    Mechanical Engineering

    Metallurgical Engineering

    For General

    If GATE rank is less than 100, most probably you will get a interview call from these companies.

    If GATE rank is less than 30, 99% you are selected to these companies.

    If GATE rank is less than 10, 100% you are selected.


    For OBS or SC/ST

    If GATE rank is around 50, 99% they are selected.

    There are situations where even with GATE 1000 rank also got selected.

    Yeah definitely you are eligible for it but yaah inorder to enter in Indian Oil Corporation Limited you are required to give the GATE exam within that only you will be able to enter in. Based upon the branch wise and category wise cuttoff you will be eligible for IOCL.
