I have completed BTech in Mechanical. What should I choose for PG between Production or Manufacturing for good job and growth in future

Aditya Sharma Student Expert 22nd Feb, 2019

Hello Sourabh.

Well it is a bit tough question if u are asking on the basis of a good job as both these fields are having a cast no of applications and great job base.

Since u r from mechanical so u are having a brief knowledge about both these fields too and also about ur inclination towards different subjects in ur btech course.

So totally depends upon ur interest and skill which stream u should be opting as both of these two are well established and are having a huge network of jobs in the career sector.

Hope u got my point. Aks if u are having any query.

Good luck for ur bright future.

I have got production in DJ sanghvi college are the placements good enough or I have to perceive for higher studies for getting a good job??

Ratula 3rd Aug, 2018

Hello Nikunj,

Production is a good line of study which offers lucrative placements in the manufacturing and industrial engineering sector.

However, a master's degree always helps, be it from your field or something like MBA. If you want an academic job, you will also need to have Ph.D. The choice is yours.

Hi.
I think I am the best person to answer this question.
Industrial and production engg is sister of mechanical engineering all subjects are same but change is that the 2 topics ac&refrigrator and one more is not studied by us but studied in mechanical branch. Instead of these two we study about product management and bussiness . If you have interest in this branch then only take if you want mechanical and unable to get it then take industrial and production .

Hope this will help you ..
