In general such things can't be done after the admission take. Now you can change your field to BTech IT after your Diploma through lateral entry entrance, it can be done. But in your diploma it can be done or not, is dependent on your council or college.

As far as my opinion is concerned, I strongly recommend you not to take specialization courses before hand in BTECH. The reason behind it is that you restrict your other future choices and opportunities in the other fields and domains. After Computer Science Engineering or IT, you can take specialization in AI, Data Science, Machine learning, but you cannot do vice versa.

SO, make your choices wisely.

Ultimately its your decision and your life. If you are firm with a specialization course and are surely willing to dedicate your career to it, you can opt for CSE with specialization
