The broad difference between interior designing and architecture is:

Interior designing works on human needs and comfort, space management and arrangement of things inside.

Architecture works on technical side like the design plans, directions and build of the whole building inside out.

duration of interior designer course

Hello student ,

If you have passed 10+2 or any equivalent qualification with at least 40% marks then you are eligible for this course . Further this course of  3 years for those individuals who keen on pursuing a BSc, in Interior Designing course . Beside this if a candidates who want to pursue a diploma in Interior Designing need to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board of education in India and for him this course is of 6 months or a year-long course.

THERE ARE 5 STEPS TO BECOME INTERIOR DESIGNER

  1. Earn a Degree in Interior Design
  2. Pass the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Exam
  3. Take some BONO projects
  4. Build a portfolio
  5. Look for continue Education Opportunities.

1. EARN A DEGREE IN INTERIOR DESIGN

To earn a degree it is not easy task to do you want concentrate on some projects to earn the degree,most interior design firms require designers to hold at least a bachelor’s degree.

2. PASS THE NATIONAL COUNCIL : it is your interest to write a exam if you pass this exam you will get more projects to you and you will become Interior design,For this exam you need to had experience and also you want to did some projects.You can get license if you pass this exam.

3. BONO PROJECTS :

Interior designers, particularly those starting out, may find it difficult to get hired without existing work experience. The trouble is, of course, that it is impossible to gain experience without doing work. Many new interior designers start out by practicing their craft for free.

4.BUILD PORTFOLIO:

To become a portfolio you need to take quality photograph and compile them into professional portfolio this may helps  a lot.

5. LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES :

You need to take more certificates for the experience and you need attend more conferences on INTERIOR DESIGNER .A number of institutions have certificates in specialty areas, including: sustainable design, spatial theory, corporate interior design and designing historic spaces

B.A. Interior Design is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program in Interior Designing and on the other hand Bachelor of Architecture in Interior Design is a 5-year full-time undergraduate course.
In my opinion, the Bachelor of Architecture in Interior Design is better option as it offers wide range of knowledge and opportunities because the duration of the course is huge and can definitely help you to fetch a good job.

I would suggest you to go for the Bachelor's of Architecture in Interior Design because its q better option as it offers wide range of knowledge and opportunities because the duration of the course is 5 years and the course focuses on various aspect of architecture and interior designing so getting a knowledge of high level for 5 years can definitely help you get a job in top designing companies with a good salary.
