    Hello,
    Diploma in Interior Design is a 1 year diploma course. After completion of 19th, you can go for the Diploma in Interior Design but your job opportunities will be very less. Also you won't be able to go for Bachelor's degree or Master's degree after that as they require a minimum qualification of class 12.
    So if you want to go for Bachelor's degree in Interior Design you must first complete your class 12th and then you can go for it. After completion of three ears course in Bachelor's in Interior Design, you will get vast job opportunities and also you can go for a Master's degree.

    Hello,
    For pursuing interior design after class 10th, a student cannot go for Bachelors degree programmes or Masters degree programmes as they require a minimum qualification of class 12th and graduation respectively. Also, job opportunities for diploma in Interior Design is very less.
    So, if you want to further go for a bachelor's degree after your Diploma course you first need to complete your 11th and 12th. So I would suggest you to first complete your class 12th then go for Bachelors in Interior Design.
    Bachelors In Interior Design is a r years undergraduate course. The program has been designed to offer to eligible students specialization in a wide range of concepts and techniques involved in organizing, managing, and planning the interiors of residences and buildings, by understanding peoples behavior and needs.

    B.Sc Interior Design is a 3 year undergraduate course which educate students with concepts of planning, designing, organizing and managing a space according to its function. The course includes detailed study about principles and elements of design.

    If you go for diploma in Interior Design after your class 10th, your job opportunities will be very less. Also, in the future you won't be able to go for Bachelor's degree or Master's degree as the minimum qualification for them is a 12th degree.

    So, you must go for completing your class 11th and 12th first before going for a diploma. Also, after 12th, you can directly go for your Bachelor's in Interior Design which would be a three years course and you would get much vast job opportunities after your Bachelor's. Also, you can go for your Master's degree after that to further increase your job opportunities.

    Hi Aspirant,

    Yes you can go for doing diploma in interior designing after doing 10th class. But you will have to find colleges for it , since very few Diploma colleges offer courses for interior designing after 10th.

    For most colleges and best reputed colleges , the eligibility criteria is to pass class 12th and then only you can join the diploma courses by meeting their minimum criteria.

    Also the courses offered aren't known to be very good after 10th.

    Professional courses are offered after class 12th. So you could first complete 11th and 12th and then go for diploma courses in interior designing. You can choose any stream . Then you would get admission either on on basis of 12th class marks or you would have to give entrance exams like NATA, CEET ,NID , CEPT,etc .

    Diploma in interior designing is a certified one year course  which comes under the domain of interior designing
    One who has qualified class 12th can persue this course or you can do this course under 10+3 diploma section
    The fees does varies from college to college
    And it will be in the range of around 20k to 2 lakh

    It is good career option for you if you are creative person. You may pursue career as interior designer or as an interior architect. But doing this course from good college add an extra advantage.

    • Admissions for the diploma in interior design being offered across India by specialist institutes and universities are usually done on the basis of merit, i.e., the marks that candidates have secured in their class 12 board examinations or equivalent.
    • In addition, the admission process to the diploma in interior design also usually has a qualifying exam or entrance exam which interested candidates will need to pass or clear.
    • Colleges or institutes offering qualification for interior designing course usually require aspirants to have secured a minimum of 50% marks at the class 12 level in order to be given admission to the course.
    • This percentage of marks is usually lowered for reserved category candidates.
