Hello student,
Hope you are doing good, here's your answer.
You can enter ISRO as a scientist or an engineer in one of two ways. You will take the IIST exam (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Trivandrum) after or during your 12th grade.
Isro have vacancies for engineers, scientists, technicians, stenographers, medical officers etc. It means u can join isro whatever ur stream engineering, medical, arts and basic science. But mostly isro recruits scientists and engineers. For recruitment in isro as scientists or engineer u must have bachelor degree in engineering or bsc. There is also some specific vacancies for master degrees like mtech and Msc.
My opinion to you is , don't go for isro because they mostly recruits scientists and engineers. You can go for any other courses after humanities in 12th class.
Hope this will help you.
All the best!!

Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
You can join ISRO and DRDO as a mathematician, but a Bsc is insufficient; you must have an Msc or Phd. You can also enrol in universities such as IISC, IIST, and IIT to receive the greatest education possible. After completing your education, you can work at ISRO or DRDO as a scientist or assistant technician. Make sure you participate in internships or have some expertise.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
Hello Gunjan,
Hope you are great.
As you said like getting into ISRO is your dream and you have not cracked it this time. Entering into ISRO through ICRB is much difficult compared to IIST. If you have the confidence that you can make it with a try in JEE 2022 then I suggest you to take a long term and prepare for it.
If you are feeling like you can crack it after completing your B.tech then take an admission and join the college. Confidence is the main asset. Let me give a clear process of Entering into ISRO by ICRB and IIST :
Going through IIST :
Through ICRB :
Hope this answers clears your doubt..
Hi, there is no direct application to get into ISRO. You will have to give their private exam and their applications open mostly in march. However, it is not every times fixed month it changes sometimes so you will have to be updated. Your GATE score will also be a helping hand to get your seat reserved. If you still have doubts please feel free to comment. Hope this helps.
