Is it possible to get admission in punes any engeneering collage (computer science) without donation. With fees of around 7 lakhs ( complete 4 years).

Samriddha Pal 24th Jun, 2025

Hello,

Certainly, gaining admission to an engineering college in Pune for Computer Science without any donation is achievable, particularly if you possess a good MHT CET or JEE Main score and submit your application through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) organized by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. Pune is home to numerous esteemed private colleges, such as Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, MIT-WPU, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune), and Sinhgad Institutes, which provide B.Tech in Computer Science and admit students solely based on merit.

Although certain colleges might charge more, numerous institutions provide full 4-year CSE programs within a budget of 7–8 lakh (not including hostel and other costs), particularly if you belong to the state quota or a reserved category. Checking the fee structure, availability of scholarships, and whether each college is assisted or unassisted is crucial.

Hope this helps. All the best!

If I dont get any seat in inicet round 1, and then i get a seat in the round 2 but if I dont want it and so dont accept or join the college, will I have to pay the penalty?

Samriddha Pal 24th Jun, 2025

Hello,

If you are assigned a seat in INI-CET round 2 and decide not to accept or enroll in the designated college, then there is a chance that you might incur a penalty, based on the regulations set by AIIMS and the INI-CET counselling authorities for that specific year.

Typically, once a seat is assigned in any round, particularly from round 2 onward, if the candidate does not report or enroll in the college, they might be disqualified from subsequent counselling rounds and may also lose the security deposit. Moreover, certain institutions might levy monetary fines or hold onto a segment of the paid fees.

Reading the official counselling brochure and guidelines carefully before engaging in the counselling rounds is essential to ensure you understand the financial and procedural consequences of not accepting a designated seat.

Hope this helps. All the best!

My tnr (tamil nadu rank) is 330 in stream 1 (jee + boards). Will i get btech cse or btech cse(s) or btech IT in sastra university thanjavur?

OISHEE BANERJEE 20th Jun, 2025

Hey, that’s an awesome TNR – 330 in Stream 1 is seriously impressive! Based on past trends at SASTRA University, you’re in a really strong position for admission into top branches.

With that rank, getting B.Tech CSE is almost guaranteed. SASTRA fills its seats in Stream 1 mostly through JEE Main score combined with board marks, and ranks under 500 typically get the most in-demand courses, especially in the first round itself.

As for CSE (Specialization) – like CSE with Data Science or AI – it’s usually just a bit more competitive than core CSE, but you’re comfortably within range for that too. These specializations are in high demand, but they don’t usually close before rank 400–500, so you're safe.

B.Tech IT is even more accessible with your rank, so if for any reason you wanted that as a backup, it's definitely going to be available. But with your TNR, you should be aiming right at CSE or CSE with specialization.

Students need to participate in various events like sports meets, cultural fest, debates, social programs, hackathons, etc.

I want to change my gmail there is typo in there and I cant get to change it

Previa Gayu 23rd Jun, 2025

If you have created a Gmail account with a typo in your address and want to fix it then you cannot directly change that email id You will need to create a new Gmail account with the correct spelling Next you can add the old account as a recovery option in the new account settings This will allow you to recover passwords and receive security alerts You can also set your email clients and services to forward mails from the old incorrect account to the new corrected one After that inform your contacts and services of the changed address and update your login details where needed Finally remember to keep a backup of important mails and settings before closing the old account So by creating a new account and migrating emails you can effectively correct the typo in your Gmail address Let me know if you want help with steps for forwarding mails or backup process

I have uploaded my documents on COMEDK portal. Today is last day and the status is still showing as Document uploaded. The status has not changed yet. Is it the case with other students as well

Previa Gayu 23rd Jun, 2025

If you have uploaded your documents on the COMEDK portal and today is the last day but the status is still showing as documents submitted then do not worry immediately because the document verification takes some time and is done manually by the officials Even if you have uploaded on time it may take two to three working days for the status to be updated You should make sure your documents are clear and properly uploaded in the correct format You do not need to upload again unless you are asked to resubmit If the status does not change after three days then you can contact COMEDK helpdesk with your details But remember that as long as your documents were submitted before the deadline your submission is considered valid and you will be able to proceed once verification is done Keep checking the portal daily for updates and wait for your documents to be approved so you can move ahead with the choice filling and allotment steps
