The level of difficulty (LOD) of JMI entrance is less than CAT but sometimes at par with CMAT & sometimes less than CMAT as well. It depends upon the year to year paper as they change their LOD.

There are total 60 seats in jamia. Jmi is an offline mode 3 hrs mcq test with 170 mcqs of 170 marks. +1 for correct & -0.25 for incorrect answers. There are 5 sections : english, Quants, data analysis & data sufficiency, reasoning & general intelligence, current affairs & business environment.

The selection is based on:

1) entrance exam of jamia

2) GDPI conducted for selected candidates.

In 2019, 206 students were called for interview for 60 seats of mba full time. The conversion ratio is 0.29. Difficulty is not that much but, you can easily clear the exam cut off if you prepare well.

JMI Entrance Examination forms the basis of admission for the aspirants of BA LLB, BBA, BA. Hons English, BA. Hons Economics, B.Com Hons, B.Sc, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Hons. Physics, B.Sc Hons. Chemistry and B.Sc Hons.Mathematics.

The exam is scheduled to be conducted between May 3 and July 4 later this year.

Section 1 is about the English.

You need to have good writing and grammar skills. You can refer some top books like Wren and Martin for the same.

Section 2 is General Knowledge. You can use some top GK books for this maybe the Navneet Publications. At the same time you will face questions on Law part- basics of rajya sabha, Lok sabha , president, prime minister ,etc powers and limitation . Questions on constitution and also the Basic current affairs - recent appointments, etc.

Section 3 is about the Maths and LR.

LR is usually not that tough.

Maths or quant includes

Speed time distance , work And worker , mensuration , percentage , ratio and proportion. Some Problem sums

Jamia milia Islamia (JMI) is quite nice University in terms of education and faculty. But with the marks you secured, it is quite difficult to get admission in JMI as the cut off generally goes high though the cut off changes every year . Meanwhile, there are some private colleges which you can prefer for your bachelor's degree .

Examination paper pattern at Jamia Millia Islamia for MA mass communication 2020 is as follows. You need to answer 200 questions in 3 hours. Paper will only have multiple choice questions that is MCQ. Part A will contain 20 marks and part B will contain rest of the marks which include  interview and portfolio.
