I want to know how to do MS or MD in Japan for an MBBS student in India ? Is it good?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 19th Jul, 2020

Hello Sai

To do an MS or MD you need  Bachelors degree or an international equivalent and pass GRE or any  graduate entry test score. You will have to take Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) (https://www.findamasters.com/advice/entry-tests/masters-japanese-language-tests.aspx) . You will need to fill the application form, normally available online or as a downloadable document, personal statement, sometimes called the “academic essay”, Bachelor diploma (if you have already graduated) and transcripts, References/letters of recommendation (most often two), English-proficiency test scores and certificates (and Japanese equivalent if required) and Application fee certificate or receipt. You will need a visa.

There are a few things you need to know

Your first task will be to clear the Japanese Language Proficiency Test depending  on  your purpose. Most medical text books will be in Japanese. If you plan to stay there it will be all the more difficult as most Japanese people prefer Japanese doctors over foreign doctors. However Japan has seven of its universities in the top 50 in Asia (two of them in the top 100 in the world.  it is very hard to see Indians / Other foreign nationals who studied in Japan and have taken up Top position in Japanese Corporates.

How often for Indians does COE get rejected for Japan and is GPF considered as Proof of funds for COE application ?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 25th Feb, 2020

Hello,

please go through the VISA guideline and check for the eligibility. The main part is interview and document provided is correct. For document list, please visit the webpage of the organization. You will get all the details or visit nearby embassy for that.

Rejection reason can be anything and can only be known when a person goes through it. Interview is tough and yet tricky. Ask any experienced person who have visited the organization for VISA.

Hope it helps!

What is considered as a Rich Salary in India, USA, Norway, Luxembourg, and Japan?

Leon George 18th Jan, 2020

Hello Raja,

In India the cities are divided into different tiers, if you are from a town which comes under 4 or 5 tier its considered as a small town. Earning around 50,000 is considered rich, now coming to towns which come under 2 or 3 tiers, earning about 1,00,000 is considered rich in these cities. Now finally the 1 tier cities like metro cities( Delhi and Mumbai) earning 1 lakh and more is considered rich.

In case of USA, American's say that if you want to be considered rich then you should have annual income of about $1,00,000.

In case of Norway, 28,000 NOK or  3500 USD per month is considered as average salary in Norway. Anything above that is considered rich in Norway.

In case of Luxembourg , salaries around and above 6000 and 7000 euro is considered rich and high class in Luxembourg with high standard of living.

Lastly in Japan if an individual has an early income of more than 4.5 million yen is considered as rich in Japan.

I hope it helps

Thank you
