My jee main CRL Rank is 159700,am I eligible for jee advanced exam?

Anurag Khanna 16th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately we cannot help you with the accurate information because on the basis of your rank it cannot be predicted whether you are qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, percentile that you have scored will decide whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not .

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2021 result so now it is clear that at what percentile the candidate is eligible for JEE-Advance 2021. As per the NTA, qualifying cut-offs goes like :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So you can check out the qualifying cut-offs from the above table and check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance or not.

I got 50 percentile in jee mains 2021, I belong to sc category...can I write jee advanced exam??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 13th Sep, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict as JEE mains qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE advanced examination  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

********number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

********kind of marks obtained by them ,

********toughness level of the jee main examination for different shift etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying  CUT OFF percentile is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :

.                  .  JEE      MAIN CUT   OFF    PERCENTILE

Category jeemain2020 jeemain2021 expected off

General :-     90.3765335                 90-95

GEN-EWS :-  70.2435518                  70 -75

OBC-NCL :-  72.8887969                   70 -75

SC     :-           50.1760245                  50 -55

ST :-                39.0696101                  40 - 45

PwD :-            0.0618524                      1- 2

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

From above it is clear that, last year qualifying cut off for sc category was 50.1760245 and expected jee main 2021 cut off for sc is 50-55 percentile . So with 50 percentile, you hold boundary  chances to qualify JEE main 2021 to be eligible for JEE advanced examination

i got 50 percentile in jee mains 2021 i belong to sc category can I write jee advanced exam

Hi

It is very difficult to predict the actual cutoff of jee mains as it varies on several parameters like number of students appeared for exam, how tough the paper was along with how many seats are available in different universities and performance of candidates appeared.  Based on previous years cutoff it is expected that 45 to 50 percentile is needed for sc category candidates as the qualifying percentile for JEE mains.

I TOOK 2 YEARS GAP BETWEEN INTERMEDIATE 1ST AND 2ND YEAR. NOW AM I ELIGIBLE FOR WRITING 1.12TH INTERMEDIATE PUBLIC EXAMS?? 2.JEE MAINS EXAM?? 3.JEE ADVANCED EXAM??

Mohammed Thouqeer 14th Jul, 2021
Hello, as per your query basically you took 2 years gap between 11th and 12th of your school. There are are basically 2 criterias that are as follows :

i) In north India they say 11th and 12th after completion of your 10th

ii) But, In south India (especially in Karnataka)they say 1st PUC / Intermediate and 2nd PUC / Intermediate after 10th.

This is the criteria which should be clear primarily for you, then coming to your question you are eligible for both 12th exam and JEE MAINS exam but for eligibility to write JEE ADVANCE is that, you should clear the JEE MAINS.

Clearing JEE MAINS mean that you should score above the cut off marks which will be announced by NTA.

That's it. If you have any further queries you can ask.
