Good luck.
Sreenivasa, please please mention your home state. There are chances in your home state because the cutoffs for home state candidates in electively lower as compared for outside state candidates. So if you are fortunate enough to might as well land in the NIT of your choice but I am sorry to say that you have no chance for admission in top NIT and IIT because the seats will at 10,000 max even for the home state candidates.so I would recommend you to look for the branch of interest now because if you are aiming to get CS mechanical or ECE it would be very difficult to take admission in NITs. So choose wisely.
You haven't mentioned the Home State you belong to. Nevertheless, going by previous years data, the chances of you securing a seat in various Colleges are as follows:
Terna Engineering College
Bharti Vidyapeeth Engineering College
VIT Mumbai
JSPM
Now this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as total no .of seats available, difficulty of the exam, previous year cut offs, no.of Candidates appearing for the exam and no.of Candidates applying for a course. Please use our College predictor for the complete list of Colleges that you may have a shot at: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello Student,
A rank of 10256 in ews is a bit low of a rank. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IIITs also would be a bit tough. There might be some chances of you getting into newer NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh or NIT Pondicherry into courses that are relatively lesser in demand such as metallurgy.
However, since you have mentioned that you belong to the ews category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities.
Some other good universities with this rank would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. Delhi University
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. VIT, Vellore
7. Manipal Institute of Technology

Hello aspirant,
In India, EWS or Economically Weaker Section is a subcategory of people who are from the general category and not from ST or SC or OBC category and having an yearly family income of not more than eight lakhs. So according to JEE Main registration data, the total number of candidates who have registered under EWS category is 81,143. The candidates who have qualified the JEE Mains 2020 have to show their income certificate or white ration card of their parents so as to be eligible for fee reimbursement.
Hope, it helps you.
Considering your percentile and keeping your category in mind, you have a lot of options. You will be able to get into most of the NITs(Trichy,Waranghal,Rourkela,Bhopal) with a good branch. You can check previous year's cut-off and get a better idea,I would have predicted some colleges and branch but your SC rank is not known to me.But I can say you have good chances of getting a good branch.
