sir, i got 53 mark in jee main 2020 3 sept shift 1 and i am in sc category. am i eligible for jee Advance ?

Anurag Khanna 9th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the marks you have mentioned in the question your expected category percentile and rank would be in the range of 91.04-91.24 and 7321-8971 respectively and your overall percentile and rank will be falling in between 82.83-83.03 and 156221-188371. Till now the cut-offs for this year has not been released by NTA so I am guiding you on the basis of previous year's cut-offs to give you an idea. So on the basis of your percentile calculated above you have decent chances to get qualified for JEE-Advance because last year cut-off for JEE-Advance for SC category was 54.0129. You can also check out the previous year's JEE-Main cut-offs from the link given below :-

I get 246235 rank in JEE main 2020 Can I get any NIT or IIIT college

Dhruv 18th Oct, 2020
Hello, as you have not mentioned your category so I am assuming you to be in general category and at this rank your chances of getting any Nit, IIIT looks not possible.
Because cutoffs of these colleges are very high.
Even cutoffs changes every year but Nit, IIIT are government colleges and are top colleges of India.

You can apply for Csab counseling which takes place after Jossa counseling.
I would recommend you to apply for other states government and private colleges which takes admission through Jee mains marks.

sir I got 303252 rank in jee main 2020 and I am from sc category and live in delhi. I have filled jacdelhi councelling form . can I get admission in DTU,IITD,or NSUT?? I want to do btech.

ARYAN SAGAR 18th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

As you have secured 303252 CRL rank in jee mains then it is impossible for you to get any good nits or any iiits or any gftis.
Now as you reside in Delhi then still from your home state quota you cannot get DTU for NSIT Delhi. Because for getting these two reputed colleges to must have to secure at least under 30000 general category rank in jee mains even if you belong from home state. Now you have mentioned IITD , then it means you are asking about IIT Delhi, so for your kind information - IIT Delhi only accept JEE advanced rank. No IIT accepts JEE mains score for getting admission. You must have to secure a good JEE advanced rank for getting admission in any iit college. And talking about IIT Delhi then it is one of the top most engineering colleges in India and for this college you must have to secure at least under 3000 rank in JEE advanced.

If you want to do BTech then better you go for some other private colleges or take admission via management quota.

Did rank in jee main 2020 doesnt play any role to get cse in uiet Chandigarh between defence service quota and ex service defence quota as I got 46510 rank defence service quota?

tinni.chats 18th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.

So, firstly I'll mention the cutoffs for different subjects in UIET, chandigarh:

  • B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering- 40073
  • B.E. in Information Technology- 56098
  • B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering- 71565
  • B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering- 88989
  • B.E. in Mechanical Engineering-118987
  • B.E. in Biotechnology Engineering-986251

Now that your rank  is not too high for computer science, and the fact that you have an ex serviceman quota, you definitely have a chance of getting CSE in UIET.

Dear Aspirant
I would like to tell you that based on your percentile and considering the fact that you belong to St category, there are chances, although I can't make you sure but yes there are chances that you might get it. However your percentile is not that good to get decent branch, although some students who scored close to you got admission last year in spot round of counselling. Keep some hope.
Good luck for your admission.
