can i get nit or iiit with a rank of 12912in jee main 2020

Nikhitha Sai 11th Oct, 2020

Hello Student,

A rank of 12912 is a good rank. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IIITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IITs also would be a bit tough. However you might be able to get into some lower ranked universities such as NIT Calicut.

And, since you have not mentioned any category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more if you have any reservation. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities.

Some other good universities with this rank would be:

1. SRM University, Chennai

2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur

3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh

4. Delhi University

5. Amritha University

Apart from these you can also get into some of the NITs as well.

Sir my score in jee main 2020 is 81 percentile and i want to get admission in HBTU KANPUR. Can i get mechanical engineering or oil technology or other preferred branch on my rank. I am OBC category and i am from Uttar Pradesh. So please suggest a branch can i get in HBTU KANPUR .

ANUVAB DAS 11th Oct, 2020

As per previous years' trend your general rank is 165679 - 120612. Last year's cutoff for OBC category was as follows. These ranks are general category ranks for OBC category candidates.

  • Mechanical Engineering : 40559-56638
  • Oil Technology : 64591-74514

So as per last year's cutoff you have no chance to get into HBTU Kanpur. You should have mentioned your actual ranks that would have been easy for us to recommend colleges.

However you have a chance to get a list of prescribed colleges against your rank. You just need to use JEE MAIN COLLEGE PREDICTOR. Click the link below, put necessary information and get result instantly.

For the percentile of 98.863 in jee main 2020, which branch and where will I get suitable seat? actually I need cse seat , can u please tell me which branch can I choose for my percentile

Hi aspirant,

You have obtained 98.8 percentile in JEE Main and you are willing to get Computer science Engineering (CSE) branch. Based on this percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) rank would be 13,000 approximately. Based on this rank you will surely get CSE in NIT but not in top ones like Trichy. Nevertheless, you can use our college predictor tool by clicking on the following link to predict your branch, obviously CSE and college :

To choose branch based on your rank or percentile you can visit the following link to see previous year cutoff: http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Hope I answered your query. Still you have query then feel free to ask more.

Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.

So, with your rank, under SC Category, you definitely have good chances of getting into some of the great government colleges. As for colleges likee NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, it's a bit difficult to get in with your rank, but you can try for the spot rounds as well, and see if you get in.

If you want to know a detailed list of all the colleges that you can get into with your JEE Mains rank, you can get it here:

I SCORED 92.29 PERCENTILE IN JEE MAIN 2020 . CAN I GET ADMISSION IN CBIT COLLEGE IN CSE BRANCH...........IF, YES THAN WHAT WILL BE THE FEE AND PROCESS OF ADMISSION AND I BELONG TO OC CASTE.

Nikhitha Sai 10th Oct, 2020

Hello Student,

Having scored a percentile of 92.29 percentile means you have scored a score of roughly 70 in CRL it can be a bit tough for you to get into top universities as it is a bit low.  Since you have not specified which course you intend to get into. The chances of you getting into CBIT depends on which course you choose. But in general, being in the OC category, your chances are a bit tough. But however, due to the increasing competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities as well . The course in demand ask for higher ranks and hence it would be a bit tough for top ranked courses like Computer Science Engineering.

And just in case you have to apply, you can apply directly through the university website and you can find the fees structure. You can find more details about the university in the link given below:

Some other good universities with this rank would be:

1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai

2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur

3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh

4. Delhi University

5. Shiv Nadar University, Delhi

6. SRM University

7. Manipal Institute of Technology

8. Vasavi University

I got 67 persantile in jee main 2020 exam. My cast is obc plz suggest any government college..

NITIN KUMAR CHHABRA 9th Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

As you might know that you have not qualified the jee main exam,so there are very low chances for you of getting government colleges with this score. So you should apply for your state government colleges using state councelling (if any) or you should go for good private colleges.

You can use the following link to predict the colleges based on your rank:

Harsh Chandravanshi 9th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant!
According to previous year last round cutoffs the closing rank of Chemical Engineering in NIT TRICHY is 916 and in Round 1 of CSAB special counseling is 91808.Hence it would be impossible for you to get admission through Round 7 of JoSSA but you can easily get admission in NIT TRICHY through CSAB Special counseling.

can i get cse or IT in cbit if my rank in jee main 2020 is 52148

madhur 9th Oct, 2020
Hello aspirant,
Since you haven't mentioned your category , I am assuming your rank to be general.
So with your quoted details you might ( I repeat might as cutoff may fluctuate as it depends on various factors ) get IT ( not CSE ) .

You can also predict your future college on basis of jee main score using the link given below-

I hope this helps.

I got 86.21 percentile in JEE main 2020, for which college am I eligible with EWS reservation? I have used career360s college predictor (which gave me 2400 rank) which I dont think is even imaginable.

Hetvi Bhansali 30th Aug, 2020

Hello!

A percentile of 86.21 should yield approximately a rank of around 1.2lakh or more in the open Category lost.

This is according to last year's statistics.

However your EWS rank can be better. So, you can try all the NITs, under ypur category,  cause they has reservations for it.

Also try for other government/state funded colleges because only a few private colleges have reservations for EWS category.

Hope this helps.
