sir,I m obc catagory candidate , I got 56% in jee main 2022 session 1 and got poor score in session 2 also, can I get any government college?

anushkasrivastava073 4th Aug, 2022

Dear aspirant,

Sorry to inform you, that you cannot expect a government college at this percentile. However, you can try filling the CSAB counselling which is done after the JoSAA counseling is over. You also have the option to go for private engineering colleges like MIT WPU Pune, Chandigarh University, KIIT Bhubaneshwar etc. Registrations for MIT WPU Pune is open till 15 August. However, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main score. But you can try your luck over there. Also, Chandigarh University is also open for applications right now. However, KIIT is not accepting applications right now.

Another method that might help you, would be, admission through Management Quota. You can try calling or emailing private colleges to ask them about the management quota seats. However, the management quota fee is much higher than the regular fee. If you can afford such high fees, you can take admission through the management quota.

LIST OF COLLEGES TAKING ADMISSION THROUGH MANAGEMENT QUOTA:

  1. RV College of Engineering, Banglore
  2. BMS College of Engineering, Banglore
  3. MSRIT Banglore
  4. Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering, Banglore
  5. Almost all private colleges in Banglore
  6. MIT WPU Pune
  7. KIIT Bhubaneswar
  8. Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Pune

If you don't want to follow the Management Quota method then you can try next year and get a good percentile to get admitted into the topmost engineering colleges of India.

BEST OF LUCK with your future.

Hello Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank/percentile as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.

But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 119 marks your percentile will be around 94.91 - 97.05 . Considering the worst case. With 94.91 percentile your CRL-AIR will be around 52071 - 58535 . You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:

jhasuyash006 4th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it to be general. With 450000 - 500000 rank you won't be able to get top government colleges under JOSSA counselling. Within this rank IP colleges will be best for you. You can also get top branches in few IP colleges. You just have to register yourself in IP counselling. If you want to know the previous year cutoff list of various colleges under IPU then you can visit the link given below:

Hi

With 98 marks

Now,

This is difficult to predict the college as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors

  • like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them ,

  • toughness level of the jee main examination ,

  • number of seats available for the different branch

  • The category you belong to  etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Yes, you can  get NIT

Some of the best colleges for your rank in which you have chances are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 under other state -

jhasuyash006 3rd Aug, 2022

Hello Pranav,

Congratulations for your expected marks. In order to predict the exact college first we need to predict the exact rank. It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.

But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 160 marks, your percentile will be around 98.0 - 99.06. Considering the worst case. With 98 percentile your CRL-AIR will be around 20460 - 23000. You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

In order to get a CSE seat in NITs, you need to score at least 97 percentile as per past year trends.

Thus, with 98 percentile, chances are vey high for NITs that too a CSE seat.
