I got 82.06 percentile in jee so what will be my rank??

Ashish Kumar Verma 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Dear,

On this  percentile your general rank between 165679 - 120612. But as you know the cut off depends upon the number of seats available, the difficulty level of paper and number of candidates writing the examination. And, hence varies every year depending on these factors.

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

But as per my opinion you should wait for the counselling. It also depends on home state and other state as you have not mentioned your home state. You can check out your rank on the basis of your score from the below link.

hi, I have got NTA score 58 in the jee main exam appeared on Feb 25, I am from SC category, will I get a chance of admission in NIT colleges

Subhrajit Mukherjee 8th Mar, 2021
If you have given the exam in 25 Feb Shift 1 then your expected percentile is 84.33-87.45 & if you have attempted it in shift 2 then your expected percentile is 81.13-84.39.

Now assuming the maximum percentile of the above range you have a predictive overall rank of :

Shift-1: 1,28,386-1,44,325
Shift-2: 1,59,690-1,79,515

Now if you are SC and want to apply for Home state quota NIT then you have a good chance of getting a seat in core branches of NIT like Mechanical, Civil etc. It can be hard for you for the branches like CSE.

For JEE Mains 2021 rank predictor you can visit the link provided below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

**I have considered here both the shifts since you don't specify your shift for JEE MAINS 2021 on 25th February,2021.

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

intermediate ke bad kitni bar jee main de sakte hai

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 4th Mar, 2021

Hi

One can give 12 attempts of jee main over 3 consecutive  years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination .

Let's us see it in detail :-

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

Now,

JEE Main entrance examination is conducted 4 times a year i.e

*February session

* March session

*April session.

* May session

Out of these 4 attempts in a year, the one in which you get the best score is considered for admission process.

So,  the maximum number of attempts for jee mains entrance examination

= 4 times *3 years

=  12 attempts in total

So, one has a total of 12 attempts over 3 consecutive years  starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination.

For example,

If your 12th board examination appearing year is 2021,

then you are eligible for :-

  • all the four sessions of JEE mains 2021

  • all the four sessions of JEE main 2022

  • and all the four sessions of jee main 2023

You can get the detailed JEE main eligibility criteria at

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-eligibility-criteria

If I tell you about jee advanced then,

What if a question is given wrong in JEE mains. Will marks be given to only the students who attempted or to all students ?

Anurag Khanna 2nd Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See if the question is wrong in JEE-Main then the marks will only be awarded to those candidates who have not opted any answer and left it un-attempted and if you will attempt that wrong question then negative marking will be given you on it. So unless you are sure about the answer you should not attempt the question in JEE-Main because it will make you only loss in your score. Exam pattern for JEE-Main 2021 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is described below :-

Paper 1 :-

> In JEE-Main 2021, paper 1 there will be total 90 question out of which you have to attempt only 75 (25 from each section) and there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)(20 compulsory questions) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value (10 numerical based questions out of which only 5 are compulsory to be attempted).

> In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

> All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.

Paper 2 :-

In JEE-Main 2021, paper 2 there will be total 82 question out of which you have to attempt only 77 questions for 100 marks (20 questions from Mathematics section will be of MCQs and 5 questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be no negative marking for numerical value answers) . Second part will be for Aptitude section which will consists of 50 compulsory questions for 200 marks and in Part third there will be two questions for Drawing test comprises of 100 marks. So in total paper will be of 400 marks.

For complete details about JEE-Main 2021 exam pattern kindly check out the link given below :-

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteria but yes if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% in your class 12th if you belongs to General/Unreserved category and 65% if you belongs to any of the reserved category.

> Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

tomorrow is my jee exam and i am feeling sick what should i do

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 25th Feb, 2021
Hello,

Its hard to give your best when you don't feel your best. You haven't mentioned the level of sickness you are feeling but i am assuming tha you have caught some cold due to seasonal change. Visit a doctor and take medications, if you feel better tonight and the next morning then you can go for the exam but if you feel like you wont be able to then you should skip this session and take 3-4 days rest and prepare well for March session.

I hope this helps.

HEy...I m a ST Boy. And I m Getting 80-90 in 24 Feb shift 1. What will be my percentile and Rank. Can I get A college. Plzz Tell me

Abhishek Roy 25th Feb, 2021

I believe you are referring to JEE Main 24 Feb Shift 1. With a score of 80-90/300, being from SC Category you will definitely land a seat in one of the NITs. However, try targetting 100+, for better branches in Top NITs. As far as the percentile is concerned, it maybe anywhere between 90-95, further depending on the toughness/relative difficulty of your shift and the competition this year.
