ruchika.chauhan Expert 20th Sep, 2018

Hello Ravi,
SAT exam is of two types namely SAT and SAT subject tests. SAT exam pattern has three sections.
1. Evidence-Based Reading and Writing
Reading Test
Writing and Language Test

2. Math

3. Essay (optional)
The acceptance of the SAT score depends on the college/University. SAT subject tests are opted by the candidates whose colleges ask for the SAT subject tests score.

How can OCI card holders living in India can get admission into IIT/NIT ?

Prakash Balakrishnan 13th May, 2019

You can get admission to IIT thru JEE Main and JEE Advanced. For NITs you can get admission thru DASA (Direct Admission Students Abroad) for stundents of NRIs and OCI card Holders. For that you need to pass SAT Subject in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistery. The Annual fee is USD8000. My son completed B.Tech like this. OCI cardholders can be resident of India and Studied in Indian schools.  However please check in JEE Main website OR NTA whether OCI card holders studied in India can get admission thru JEE Main. 4 years back it was not possible to join NITs thru JEE Main for OCI/PIO card holders.

Siju Mathai 16th Oct, 2018

Dear Abhishek

Mit is a top institute with having acceptance rate only at 8 per cent.So out of 100 applications they select only 8 applications. So they are very slective

So getting admission in MIT you should have good cgp plus good sat or act score

In the case of sat exam you have to score about  1520 out of 1600.

So prepare well for sat exam

How to get admission in b.tech in foreign universities like stanford etv through SAT and ACT

Shraya Singh 22nd Nov, 2018

Hello,

In order to gain admission to a program in engineering, you will need the following:

  • Statement of purpose
  • English language proficiency scores from either TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Standardized test scores from either ACT or SAT (not both!)
  • Official transcripts/scorecard

For admission to many European universities, standardized test scores are not required and class 12 marks are considered. Additionally, applicants must have a strong background in mathematics and must have taken science in 12th standard.

The top universities in the world for engineering are:

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA)
  • Stanford University (USA)
  • University of Cambridge (UK)
  • ETH Zurich (Switzerland)
  • Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)
  • Imperial College London (UK)
  • National University of Singapore (Singapore)
  • The University of Tokyo (Japan)
  • University of Oxford (UK)
  • Tsinghua University (China)
