rehan18alam Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

Yes you  have a decent chance at some NIT, NITs except for the top 5-10 NITs. For example NIT Uttarakhand, etc. You also have a good chance at your home state NIT. Moreover, you can also get some GFTIs and state government colleges like in :-

UTU, Pantnagar University, etc in Uttarakhand.

For a complete list of the colleges you can get with your rank, use our college predictor tool:-

Is jee main paper 2 is in January month immediately after jee main paper 1 of b.tech

SANKET GHOSH 27th Sep, 2020

Hello there,

See, since 2019 NTA decided to conduct examinations of JEE twice in months of January as well as in april.

Now, as per your query and as per previous years, it is seen that the paper 2 of JEE Main is conducted just before the start date of JEE Paper 2. Suppose if JEE P-1 is scheduled from 22-26 January then paper 2 will be held on January 21.

what is the timing of jee main paper 1 of January session with subjectwise

S. Saha Student Expert 27th Sep, 2020
For this year i.e. Jee Main January Session 2020, the application form was released on 3rd September, 2019 and the last date to fill the application was October 10, 2019. Every year, around this time application for Jee Main January session started. But this year it's bit different. Jee Main April 2020 session in now going on and the session 2020-21 has not yet started. And due to this pandemic the situation is not in our hands. So it is really unpredictable when the Applications will be released and when will be the exam. Jee main 2021 schedule hasn't yet released. As of now we don't have the information if this exam of next year will be postponed or not. Jee Main January application usually starts in the month of September and April session starts in the month of February. You can start checking the official website, for any kind of updates and if the application releases it will be updated there. There might be a delay in the application of Jee 2021 as most of the events of 2020 have been delayed. http://news.careers360.com/expect-slight-delay-in-jee-main-2021-january-exam-dates-prof-ramgopal-rao-director-iitd

why there are two shift in jee main paper 1 and which paper is in shift 1 and other paper in shift 2

SANKET GHOSH 27th Sep, 2020

Hello there,

From 2019 the NTA decided to distribute the JEE Exam into 4 days with multiple shifts to accommodate people for giving their online examinations .

There are two shifts due to the fact that so many online computers are not present at a place to simultaneously conduct exams for 11-12 lakh students on a same day and on the same server.

Therefore , to accommodate students without any server problem or hassle, multiple shifts were conducted in the examinations(morning and afternoon).

no need to worry, since moderation of marks in each and every shift will be there :)

I got 72.78 PR and 298585 CRL in JEE MAIN PAPER 1 (BE/BTECH). My EWS Category Rank is 40260. My home state is Gujarat. Can I get any Good College.

Harsha Sinha 24th Sep, 2020

Hi there,

Unfortunately with a rank of 40k in the category won't let you to any top college, whether nits or any private college,

But you might get some regionals college in gujrat with this rank but that won't be very helpful for your career goals, I would suggest to take a drop a score more than 92+ percentile.

Anyway this year the options for some college at your rank are listed here

ANUVAB DAS 21st Sep, 2020

It is quite difficult for you to get Engineering streams with JEE Main paper 1 rank. However your performance is good in paper 2. So, you have plenty of chances to start your career with B.Arch. or B. Planning. Decision must be taken by you as you have to go through all the difficulties of your career.

Hope you understand. Good Luck.

Is Jee main paper 1 is compulsory for getting into an IIT or we can get into it by Jee main paper 2 ?

rgautam.rs 11th Sep, 2020
No.you need not clear JEE Mains Paper 1 to get admission into B.Arch / B.Planning in NITs and CFTIs.

But, you don't need to appear for JEE -Main paper 2 in order to qualify for architecture at IITs.

You must need to appear for JEE Main paper-1 and need to qualify it. After qualifying for JEE-main ,one need to appear for JEE advanced exam. After qualifying JEE-Advanced, one need to appear for a special test called AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) for getting admission in architecture department of IITs.
