Hello,
According to JMI Prospectus 2020-21 (page 35) http://jmicoe.in/pdf19/FINAL_JMI_PROSPECTUS_2020_NEW.pdf you need to fill two separate applications for two different courses. Multiple applications for the same course will be rejected but in your case you are applying for two different courses that is B.Tech and B.Arch so you need to fill two different application and pay the fee for both the applications individually. You need to register with two email IDs so that each application will be given unique application number.
If we calculate your rank with your percentile, it is approximately 96373. The formula is 100-your percentile*no.of candidates who wrote the exam/100. With this rank, it is difficult for a seat in NIT. You should score atleast 95 percentile and more. So you should write July session. To check what colleges you can get with this Rank, use our College predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
Hello dear
J ee mains paper one is for admission in btech course in various esteem Institutes like NIT, IIIT s and other state College and private colleges. Once you qualify jee mains you will be eligible for jee advanced through which you can take admission in IIT s in btech course.
AAT Advanced is for admission in barch. in only two IITS and for taking this exam you must have to qualify the jee advanced and to give jee advanced you need to give jee mains paper 1.
While paper 2 is for barch. Course and B. Planning in various good institutes.
So definitely you need to qualify jee mains paper 1 to be eligible to jee advanced and than you have to qualify jee advanced to be eligible for AAT Advanced.
Good luck
The lockdown might have a big impact on CRL in JEE Mains, specially for those who do not have access to online coaching classes or study material. For these people their studies might have got disrupted to some extent. Feeling low during lockdown and not feeling like studying is only natural, and must have impacted everyone in general. However successful will be those people who get over the lockdown blues, and take this time as extra study hours in disguise. All the best!
Rakesh, your rank would be approximately 7212 going by the formula 100-99.17*869010/100 where in 99.17 is your percentile and 869010 is the no.of Candidates who appeared for JEE Mains for January session. For example, if the Candidates appearing for July session go upto 12.00.000 then we use 1200000 instead of 869010. Now this is your All India Rank and we are yet to know the no.of Candidates qualified in EWS Category. But on a general note, your EWS Rank might be less than 1500-2000. You can check the list of colleges that you have a chance at using our College predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
HELLO!!!!!
The JEE Mains examination will be conducted twice a year. For the JEE Mains paper 1 which is conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency) in janauary there are total about 11,18,673 registrations for JEE Mains examination including both B.tech and B.arch.There are about 9,21,261 registered candidates for b.tech in which only 869010 candidates appeared in JEE main in paper 1.
I HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!! ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
hey,
no its not mandatory to give jee main 1 exam to appear in jee main 2 exam ,both exams are for different purpose ,first one is for those who want to take in B.E or Btech whereas paper 2 is for architecture students who wish to pursue B.arch from IIT
all the best!
We can calculate your rank with the help of your percentile by using the formula: (100-your total percentile)*869010/100.
Going by this formula, your rank will be 193876. Now, this is for the January session and if the no. of Candidates appearing for JEE Mains April session is increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank is calculated using the formula:(100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.
With a rank of 193876, it is tad difficult for a seat in NIT even with SC reservation even in your Home State. You might have to appear for April session as well. Please visit our page for previous years cut offs for various NITs in various streams.
