why is my neet self declaration showing i am not eligible for j&k seats? and how to correct it?

Aditya 27th Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

The reason for the mentioned issue must be that you have chosen Yes in self declaration form. If anyone chooses yes, he/she confirms that the person is not eligible for any MBBS/MD or any relevant posts in the state of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. To change it, you need to make corrections in the application form between 8-12th August at neet.nic.in by paying a small charge. To know more about it, visit https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-application-form-correction-guide

Hope it helps!!

Ive qualified 12th from J&K board. The results were out after the neet form was released. what is my qualifying code?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 24th Jul, 2021
Hi

It doesn't matter even if your results were announced after Neet application form release, you need to fill the details as per present and right now your exam results are out and you have already passed it.

You need to choose the code 2 .

This is because,

You have have passed your 12th fromJ&k board.
And
code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2/higher /senior secondary/ Indian School Certificate Examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English.

Here's a short brief of Neet codes :-

--------) Code 1 :- code 1 is for those who are going to appear for class 12th board 2021 examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English or have have already appeared but results are awaited i. e have not been declared

--------) Code 2 :- code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2/higher /senior secondary/ Indian School Certificate Examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English

--------) Code 3 :- code 3 says it is for those passed their intermediate / pre- degree examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English ,your physics, chemistry and biology should also contain practical exam.

--------) Code 4 :- pre - medical degree with Physics, chemistry and biology.

--------) Code 5 :- code 5 is for all those who have passed 1 st year graduation with all the three of Physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology

--------) Code 6 :- code 6 is for all those students who have passed BSc with at least any two of following subjects :-

>>>>Physics,

>>>>chemistry ,

>>>>biology/biotechnology

--------) Code 7 :- code 7 is for those who have passed their examination from foreign board which is equivalent of Indian 10+2 board.

hello sir i am a neet aspirant from j&k and i want you to explain me the self declaration form for neet 2021 i hope i will get my answer as soon as possible

Aditya 23rd Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

When you sign a self declaration form, you are stating that you are not eligible for appearing for Counselling in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and hence you are not eligible to see admission in MBBS, BDS, Aush courses of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. You are also mentioning that you do not hold the domicile of both Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. So you need to choose accordingly and select no if you belong to Jammu and Kashmir domicile.

Hope it helps!!

Im a domicile of J&k, if i fill the self declaration form along with neet application form, can i get state colleges?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 18th Jul, 2021

Yeah! You are eligible for the state colleges of J&K but you are ineligible for the 15% All India Quota as J&K doesn't keep seat reserves for other state students. Thus you can take admission in your state colleges but can't apply for any other state colleges.

In J&K there are in total 900MBBS seats and 200 BDS seats.

Aman Mishra 21st Aug, 2021

Hello,

The marks which you have score in your both the attempts of JEE main examination is a decent one and definitely you can get admission in colleges outside of J&K because there are a large number of colleges accepting JEE main marks for admission purpose. So before doing this all things firstly you should get your rank using rank predictor and the link for it is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

After getting your rank you can easily compare it with the different colleges of your type and making it more simple you can use the other link mentioned below from where you check the colleges which you can get on the basis of your rank:

If a student gets a high rank in NEET and unfortunately he has not submitted a self-declaration form for NEET. Will the student not be considered for the AIIMS or any other college other than J&K ? rather securing good marks?

suchayitaanusaha 31st Jul, 2021

Hello,

You have to submit the self declaration form in NEET examination application form. It's mandatory by NTA for Covid situation. If you can't submit it then may be some problem will be occurs. But if they are asking you the documents in counselling then one hope is there. You can submit alk documents. But self declaration form is really mandatory dear. Let's check the counselling happen or not.

All the best.

can a student from J&K cant get into aiims delhi please explain me in simple language as I am confused some people are saying students who hold domicile of J&K cant get into AIIMS delhi plz answer

Neha Kumari 18th Jul, 2021

Hello there

AIIMS conducts its admission through All India  Counseling along with some other colleges .AIIMS comes under 15% all India quota so the candidates  of any state can apply for this quota EXCEPT JAMMU AND KASHMIR CANDIDATES and they can apply for 85% state quota. And candidates of JAAMU AND KASHMIR  don't have any 15% or 85% All India Quota or Any State quota . Unfortunately candidates who hold a Domicile of Jammu and Kashmir cannot participate in All India Counseling and there by take admission in any of AIIMS branches of MBBS.

I hope you got your answer.
