which one is better doing diploma in journalism and mass communication after 12 or doing bachelors in journalism and mass communication?

madhur 18th Oct, 2020
The main question arises here is your need ie. You want skill or you want degree.
A degree is always a cut above on diploma.

One of the biggest differences between a degree, certificate, and Diploma is the time it takes to earn them. A degree comes in many forms and takes the longest to complete. It can be an associates, bachelors, masters, or even a doctorate. A degree can take anywhere from two to four years or longer.

Certificate programs often take months instead of years, and some can even be obtained in conjunction with a degree program. Diploma programs offer a more in-depth curriculum than a certificate, but they are more like a certificate than a degree.

Also with a good degree you have higher chances of earning more as compared with a diploma .
So if you want to do diploma then do persue it as a additional supplement to your CV with a degree program.

I hope this helps.
Regards
Madhur

Is one year Diploma in journalism and mass communication good after LLB? If yes then what will be the job opportunities?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 20th Aug, 2020
Hello,

See, LLB and Journalism are two totally different fields and if you want a career in Journalism then you will have to do alot of struggle and a one year diploma wont help you to get a good job in the field of Journalism. So, i would recommend you to go for opportunities in Law itself.
You should go for Legal Practitioner / Advocate / Legal Advisor for corporate sector, firms, organizations etc.

You can go for various Govt jobs..

You can go for JudicialExams.

Banks also hire LLB graduates with a handsome salary so that option is also available.

Think and decide what's best for you and what excites you more.

I hope this helps.

What is the difference between Diploma in journalism and mass communication and BA in mass communication? Because i am law graduate and i want to start career as journalist, so can someone please guide me which course to choose? Because i have already spent 5 years foe LLB and i want short course

Samarth Jain 19th Aug, 2020

Diploma gives a student a gist of the subject and is one of the short course for the profession.

According to researches, usually the students with a full degree will get more chances for placements and they are usually preferred over the students with a diploma.

I think that you should continue with your law as you spent 5 years on it.

All the Best!!

Is there any drawback of pursuing Masters in journalism and mass communication after Bcom?

Samarth Jain 27th Jul, 2020

Yes there could be a drawback as in Masters degree, they teach concepts that are more advanced than that of Graduation level. So they expect the students to know the basics before.

You you may face problems with the course pace and a difficulty in understanding the concepts.

Also during the recruitment, there can be questions on your stream, that if you had done B Com then why did you come for journalism now. You may face a problem in being recruited due to this.

But the scenario is different for every individual. You should definitely pursue it if you are confident about you career decision. No one can stop you. All the Best!!
