Hi Aspirant,
JU is an autonomous university and follows its own course syllabus. So in case you are leaving iem which is under makaut ,after a certain period of time your registrations gets automatically cancelled since you left the college and the college has stopped sending registration amount nedded at time of each semester. So in that case your applications get automatically cancelled. However if you join a college under makaut next year then you have to cancel registration from your college placement officer and inform him about the transfer and he may arrange a migration or transfer certificate officially from makaut. You have to reach out to the college administration and inform about the change to cancel registration.
Hope it helps!!
Hello Aspirant,
You must have known to the fact that there are only few State Universities in the whole India which doesn't have any domicile quota for their own state. Jadavpur University was one of them because before 2019 there were no reserved seats in WBJEE counselling for the students of its own state, West Bengal. But the situation has become changed after the modification of this domicile criteria by the JU Management Board.
According to the reformed rules and regulations, 90% of Engineering seats for general category in JU has been fixed for only the candidates of West Bengal from 2019. Other 10% general category Engineering seats are only for the canditates coming from the outside of our state.
One more thing should be added here that this advantage is only for the General-UR aspirants i.e. this domicile criteria is not applicable for the students of other reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, TFW, PWD etc. Lots of controversies centred round this decision as different people had different kind of opinions regarding this according to their own interests.
However if you're a General-UR candidate, so don't need to be worried, you'll definitely get this advantage in your upcoming WBJEE counselling. So just start intense hardworking to successfully get admitted in this top and eminent Engineering Institution in West Bengal.
You can also go through the following Careers360 article by the link provided below to be well-known about the admission criteria and procedure in Jadavpur University:

Wish you all the best for your upcoming examination.
Dear aspirant
At first lots of congratulations for your brilliant result and wishes for your future life.
According to your rank JU CSE is next to impossible for you but you can easily get cse in any other wbjee college gurantee.
According to your opinion you should opt for IEM
You will definitely get that. If your dream is get admission in government colleges then you should go for KGEC . But overall IEM is the best choice based on placement.
But one reminder that you can get almost any department in JU other than CSE , IT , ECE based on your rank. But as your passion is in CSE then you go for JEE MAIN Counselling also.
You can predict your chances in any WBJEE college by our link

ALL THE BEST
Dear Yeasin,
Congratulations you have scored very well.
Yes, you will easily get admission in Jadavpur University in B.Pharm/Pharmaceutical Technology course. As the last year i.e 2019 cutoff of the first round of Jadavpur University for OBC-A category is 5258 and General category is 999. You wont get admission through your General rank but you will get admission with your OBC-A rank.
All the Best!
Look the marks vs rank depends from year to year. So it is very much difficult to make any assumption from now. But all I can say considering you in general quota is you need a rank below 1.2 k(General Merit Rank). With a rank below 1.2 k you can opt for a brach in Jadavpur University for sure.
If you are looking for CSE/ETCE/IT/EE/EIE(Then 150-820).(104-131.5 marks)
Mechanical, Chemical, Production,(850-1400)(90-104 marks)
Civil, Metallurgy (1500-2100) (83-90marks)
Power, Construction, FTBE( 2200-3900)(70-83 marks)
Printing, Pharmaceutical, Architecture (4k-8k) (55-70 marks)
