You have not mentioned for which degree you want to know the eligibility criteria. Here is the list:-

1. BTech:- 12th passed with minimum 50% with physics, chemistry and mathematics as major subjects.
2. BEd:- 12th pass with minimum 50% aggregate.
3. BSc, BFA, BCom:- candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board.

if you satisfy the eligibility criteria then you can proceed for further selection process with valid score of entrance exam. if you score well in entrance and selection process then there will be good chance to get an admission.

Actually this is not true that one & only kanpur university provide the scholarships. But the main fact is there is in every renowned institute there is a procedure to provide scholarship to the EWS category candidates or the candidates who are truely deserve as per merit based.

But in some cases there were no institutional procedure but there are many govt scholarship scheme as well as many examinations are there.

To pass in first year of bachelor's of Commerce (BCOM) course offered by Kanpur University the student needs to obtain atleast 36% of total marks in each subject a and 48% in aggregate i.e. total of all papers. If you score the mimnimum passing criteria laid down by the college then you'll be considered passed in 1st year of your course.
