Law
At the moment, there is no government law merit cutoff decided for SC category. Even so, I can offer some information from previous years’ cutoffs for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET) Law.
How cutoff marks for MH CET Law have trended in recent years.
- The required cutoff to get into 3-year LLB programs changes depending on each college and their categories. In 2024, various top colleges had set cutoff scores between:
In the Open category, Government Law College saw a change in the score from 100 (the opening score) to 64.82 (the closing score). Even so, scores on the SC part of the exam might not be the same.
For the Open category, ILS Law College saw scores range from 99.95 (opening) to 42.23 (closing).
Generally, you need higher scores to apply for 5-year LLB programs.
For the Open category at Government Law College (BA LLB), the scores varied from 100 (attempt 1) to 70.19 (attempt 2).
Things That Influence the Set Choosing Score:
- The category and status of the college
- Having a merit and reservation process
- The amount of space on board.
How well candidates do in the MH CET Law exam
The most accurate and updated SC category cutoffs for the year 2025 can be found by:
- Go to the official MH CET Law website or get in touch with the exam authorities directly
- Checking the cutoffs colleges used for admitting in past years
– Make sure to watch for announcements about the cutoff dates in each round of counseling.

Yes, if you have taken a seat in MCC counselling but later get admission through law counselling, you can apply for a refund of your MCC seat allotment fee. MCC has a refund policy, but the amount refunded depends on the stage at which you withdraw:
If you exit within the given time frame, most of your fee (after deduction of processing charges) is refunded.
If you don’t report/join after allotment, partial deductions may be made.
If you join and then leave later, refund may not be applicable.

Hello there,
The University Law College (ULC) law form fill-up website usually opens in May. For 2025 admissions, the deadline for application submission is extended till June 1, 2025.
You need to apply through the SAMS Odisha portal by registering and filling the application form for the 5-Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program at ULC Bhubaneswar.
If your Class 12 results are not yet declared, you can apply by selecting the "Result Awaited" option and update your marks later.
Keep checking the official SAMS Odisha website for admission notifications and counseling schedules.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
If you plan to join IILM University, Gurugram for law after 10+2, you need to fulfill two conditions: you must have a recognized board’s 12th passing certificate with at least 50% aggregate marks. The same thing holds true for their integrative programs such as B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B.
A university might want you to pass an entrance exam, but most will only ask for the required academic qualification with the required minimum marks. It is always better to ask about extra admission requirements directly from the university’s admission office.
